Would you guys every consider translating manga (or manga-like), especially if it's anime-related?  What I had in mind is the A Kite Complete Workbook, of which the text is completely in Japanese, and I'd love to see a translation of the dialog.

So bad...yet, so good...

I have the R3 DVD's of Umi no Triton series. I would encode them myself but my encoding skills are very lacking when it comes to things like this. It already has english subs so all you guys have to do is clean it up and encode. If interested I will try to find a way for me to transfer this to you (prob. via torrent on some tracker).

I would like to suggest one of the best series of all ages Jigoku Sensei Nube
OVAs and Movies of course.
I know this series was never english dubbed neither subbed, but it was spanish dubbed, and I can tell you that it is very good show, there was a group who was subbing the tv series, but it seems they have dropped it.

I just so happen to have some nice raws for all the OVA, Movies, and the first half of the series.  Should have grabbed the second half while I had a chance, torrent is probably dead now.  :(

It is a possibility, although I would like to have raws for the second half in hand before starting...

The whole series is still seeded on saiei but in a new full batch instead of the separate batches. Could you please give me a reply regarding my above post?

How many discs is Umi no Triton on?

If it's just encoding I can help you out, but I don't have the time/bandwidth right now to download 40Gb of vobs, not to mention a lot of it would be wasted files I wont need.  Unless you have 10Mbit upload, or find some other means of transfer, or wait till I'm in a position to download all those disc images, then it would be possible.  :)

If nobody replies to a request right away we are not ignoring you, all posts are read & considered.  It just may be many weeks or months before we get around to working in a particular project, we have dozens lined up at this point.  Think of it as a post and wait in anticipation thread, if we start working on your request you will definitely hear from us.

They are on 5 DVD5's so about 25GB. I can't think of an alternative right now so I guess I'll just have to wait.

I'd like to see Mad Bull 34 subbed. I know that there is a dubbed version on BoxTorrents, but that one is awful. I don't know how you would acquire the RAW for it, but It would be a lot better than the dub and the subbed version would have a different musical score as well, since Manga replaced the original music.

Thank you so much for this thread.  It's people like you guys who give me hope.   After being disenchanted with most modern anime, I find the oldskool classic OVAS to be the best!!  And it's groups like you guys who make Box awesome!!
Long time anime fan & looking forward to your future great releases!  I will try to come up with some requests... 8)

Reina Stol (Leina Stol): Machine Robo OVA
Gall Force: The Revolution (1996) OVA (I'm not sure if that's far back enough)  ???
Panzer Dragoon OVA

This looks good: http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=2729

I don't so much want to know if you would like to work on it, but I want to know if people would like to have it worked on, if you catch my drift.

Essedus, the show Tokimeki Tonight has already been discussed in the group. Lots of people like it but it's far too big to handle. We are currently struggling to pump out 1 episode OVA's. If your suggesting you have the resources to sub it, then you my interest and blessing.

It's rare and wonderful to find a fansub group that's interested in classics. I can think of many suggestions, but my top priority would be the first of Osamu Tezuka's Animerama movies, 1001 Nights (Senya Ichiya Monogatari) from 1969. AniDB IMDB

I've had no luck finding a group interested in subbing this, even though it was a Tezuka production and one of the major landmarks of anime history. Some might call it the first hentai, but it wouldn't be considered hentai by today's standards. It contains about the same level of sex and violence as a typical live action Japanese film from that time. But it is groundbreaking for being one of the first examples of anime to cater exclusively to an adult audience.

I can provide the raw DVD. If you want to preview the film, it looks like someone has already uploaded the whole thing to youtube here: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=2AE21A0D1A19856D

And if you like this, I would also like to suggest the second film in Tezuka's trilogy, Cleopatra, which I could also provide as a raw: http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=4579

The last film in the series, Belladonna of Sadness, has already been subbed by myself based on existing Chinese subs and a little help. They're mostly okay but could use improvements. You can find MWizard's encode of that one right here

How about trying Rapidshare or Megaupload?

Also, I don't know if this classifies as a classic animè, but I'd like to request ANY Moomin you can/will sub. I've only ever seen the 1990's version in Norwegian.
It would be nice to see the japanese audio version with english subs.

Maybe the 1992 movie, but we really don't have the resources to sub lengthy TV series, as Area88 has previously stated in this thread. Getting raws would be an issue as well.

Got any old fansubs on HDD/DVD/CD? Please take a look at this thread.

Hey, one movie is better than nothing. So I'd be happy either way.
And I have no idea how to get raws for this either, so... I was just putting it out there. :P
