And if you like this, I would also like to suggest the second film in Tezuka's trilogy, Cleopatra, which I could also provide as a raw: http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=4579

If the version currently on offer (Animerama Archiive) is accepted would you consider giving it a quick QC 'n V2 it?
Surely that would be a nice, managable project compared to starting from scratch. :)

EDIT: Never mind, this proved to be perfectly watchable, even if not perfectly translated.

there has only been a recent 9 episodes of this translated into english and its a complete shame in almost 40 years no one has brought it to us... those 9 have me craving for more and in my opinion this would be a FANTASTIC addition to bakabts classic anime collection...

Jigoku Sensei Nube. i've been seaching around like crazy trying to find this series with either cantonese dub or english sub. 15 eps are out, all the groups are either releasing one ep a year, or currently stalled. its an awesome classic.

Wow, 9 eps in three years, they must really be loving the show. Asd-fansubs tried to take a dip at the anime too, but stopped at episode 3.

I'd love to see a subtitled version of Karura Mau (http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=4316).
The movie is available through Nyaatorrents since a couple of days (http://www.nyaatorrents.org/?page=torrentinfo&tid=75586) and Saiei has the raws for the OVA.
It's pretty cool and scared me quite a few times, although most of the time I didn't really know what was going on! ^.^;

yeah its a shame that the few groups that picked it up dropped it so easily... it could also be account to how few people even downloaded it not just lack of fansubber interest... sometimes people have trouble getting used to something so old...  some people are tired of the classic yojimbo story line.... sometimes too many people are skeptical of genres like japanese boxing... (im sure people are still skeptical of Hajime no Ippo and its fantastic as well)... it has a cult classic following in japan... so it isnt just me and a handful of fans out there for it to be so old and recently remastered into dvd am i wrong?  shame they never subbed it as well right?

you should take a look at it before going on the bandwagon .... leaping before you look can cause you to miss out on some great stuff... art is art some like it some dont but if you dont even look at it how can you judge it?

Wow ... I loved your works so much I signed up here ;)

I'm a lover of really old anime and has spent my spare time looking for old anime that I will never see. I have a list of them actually X3

But for suggestions here are my few ones:

Nayuta: http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=4356

Not sure if this is any good but I saw a few raws floating around the internet so that might be easier to get if you want it.

Appleland Story: http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=3416

Not that I want to see but NEED to see it *laughs* Directed by Yuyama Kunihiko (Same guy for Roots Search, Windaria, Time Stranger and ... pokemon ...) one day it needs to be subbed X3 This guy is classic ^^

And (I'm a huge sucker for Leiji Matsumoto) ...

Arei no Kagami
The Legend of Marine Snow
Saint Elmo (Think I saw a raw floating on Share)

All are ultra rare works of Leiji Matsumoto (Saint Elmo is his ONLY voice acting role). That is if you can find them ^^; I would love them *Giggles*

There is so much you could do as well that are all so ultra cool and rare such as Chikyuu Monogatari Telepath 2500 and Love City!

But enough of me listing titles X3

But I do suggest that maybe you should have a thread with all your old anime raws that you want but don't have, so that people know what you want ^^ Like (Possible projects list) or something ...

Anyway thank you for your work ^^

Not sure if this qualifies as a classic, Amon Apocalypse of Devilman subbed version exists though it is pretty much gibberish. Nevermind found it on this site.
I also just discovered Anime classic reviews today and read your Violence Jack review, good stuff and keep up the good work.

Here's list of animes for which I can make subs:
http://soarin.ucoz.ru/Inactive_Subs.htm
Some of them was fansubbed so maybe you can remaster it.

When I was a kid I got to see a lot of french dubbed anime and really liked what they called "Le Petit Chef'
I went huntin some time ago about it and found out only 3 episodes of the whole series where fansubbed in eglish, the french dub has some more but I can't stand french dubbing anymore...

Hey I have an idea =D

Has anyone checked out: http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=group&gid=5271 ?

He has a few rare OVAs rips. I'm not sure if you are able to contact him, but it seems like he does have a good few.

Ha ha, all I need now is Nora, Saint Elmo and Chikyuu Monogatari Telepath 2500. Then my life is complete :D

This is awesome. How about short-form anime/OVAs whose translation/subtitle implementation was rather shoddy?

...because I'd like to actually see the whole original cut of Legend of the Overfiend without the subtitles cutting out for like fifteen minutes.

...though I have to commend CPM for even bringing it over along with La Blue Girl back in the day. That was *&^%ing daring.
