It needs a left box width, and a right box width... and their sum has to be <940px. Too bad there's no way to let the user know that in the template-filling page.

if that is the case...
well... if you don't mind... i can make a 100% CSS driven template... no complicated js none-so-ever (this is based on my private feedback as many wanted me to do just the CSS)...

the template, of course, would be based on my offered js driven template...  :)

p/s: you may delete this post if it is not related...

HTML/CSS templates aren't a problem. The problem is trying to make BBCode templates that aren't too difficult for the user to edit, and yet don't look terrible either. This is, of course, aimed at the HTML/CSS newbie who wants to make an offer but doesn't want to deal with wall-of-code. They will have to pick up a little, but the aim here is to make the learning curve less steep.

Perhaps I should just try a CSSLite template then. BBCode isn't powerful enough to do most things that users want.

if i can recall correctly... bbcode really depends on what are allowed to be syntaxed... if the syntax is not there or not specified... the syntax would just display as a mere text...

e.g.
if let say the italic function is not specified... the text would not even be italic...  :)

i think these guys needs to know css since it has become standards for browsers these days... and it really helps if they know a little bit of what css can do to the template appearance...

just saying but not suggesting... :)

p/s: somehow i felt it is a bit offtopic which can be deleted if not needed...

[offtopic]This is almost like saying that people who post in a forum should know PHP or SQL.  The point of templates is to make the offer system available to laymen, not make them learn how to code.[/offtopic]

I'm sure there's a way to put a note somewhere on the template information input page that tells the user to change the widths of the blocks.  Alternately, I'm also sure that there is a way to have the server recognize the dimensions of the image while generating the template code and adjust the widths of the blocks accordingly.  Though, it would likely have to wait until Jaru (or someone else with the know-how) has time to experiment with such an idea.

I'd very much appreciate it if all templates could include a link to their respective page on Anime-Planet.
Anime-Planet has already been dropped from AniDB, apparently others will follow shortly.

The DropdownBox OST Template by Koyori produces bad HTML.
Code: [Select]
<html>
<head>
<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />
<style type="text/css">
body { color:#667686; font-family: sans-serif; }
a { color: #593784; }
th { min-width: 10em; font-weight: bold; text-align: right; }

}
.heading { font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; }
.footnote { clear: both; }
</style>
</head>
<body>
<body on Load=s_s(0,1); scroll=no>
<!--Album 1 Start-->

</html>

There are two BODY opening tags, one of which does not use quotes around its attribute values, and I'm not so sure it should be using onload anyway (the other attribute, scroll, doesn't actually exist).  It also has several OL ending tags despite having zero OL opening tags.  Lastly, a minor gripe:  a "disk" is typically either a "hard disk" or a "floppy disk".  When referring to optical media, we use "disc".

completely wrong topic - and i'm pretty sure that's not a general problem but just your browser not properly loading the images. make a forced refresh and it should be fine again.

I am not sure if this is the place for it but:

Could a mod edit "Related in Box:" in this template to "Related in BakaBT:". I don't know who is able to do it, but it's a pain in the ass to edit it every single time I want to up some manga.

Aside from the above correction: why not use one of your properly edited descriptions as basis in stead of the template?  ;)

Not 100% sure if this is the right thread for this. But anyway, recently the bakabt layout has looked a little odd and I thought I would post a screen shot to see if anyone could help me out.

http://i780.photobucket.com/albums/yy90/Nomiad12/jpg.jpg

Not sure what the problem is, or how to fix it  :'( Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Edit: saw a new thread on the front page about it being a firefox 4 issue. I recently upgraded to it so I assume that is the problem.

Hello, I thought I wouldn't create another thread related to templates as I do not want to spam this forum.

Prologue:
Lately I have noticed many offers are missing links to My Anime List, so me or other people always ask for it in the comments. After some time I realized  nearly all custom made descriptions have this link while the ones made with template system do not, hence I looked at the templates and realized they really do not include the possibility of linking to MAL, so people either don't know how to change the HTML to include it afterwards or are lazy to do so (or simply forget about it).

The actual problem:
Would it be possible to update the templates to include the possibility to link to My Anime List? I believe it would be helpful to the community, I even discussed it with some moderators beforehand who told me it is not bad nor a pointless suggestion. Looking at it from the technical side the update should not take more than few hours of pure work (yes, there are many templates and it needs to be customized for every single one), but it isn't something that would take incredibly long time.
[18:20:14] <+kurandoinu> How surprising. A conversation with gits turned to physics. That never ever happens.

It depends on the image but some of the sample images in my offer look messed up when viewed on different browser zooms. They look fine when viewed elsewhere. Currently on FF 42.0

Edit: I probably posted this at the the wrong thread. Sorry.
Here's the images.
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

Wow. Nice description. It looks fine to me, though. Mind posting a screenshot of the problem?
