The client whitelist topic has been split into two different topics to clean things up a bit.

This thread is not for discussion of the whitelist. Those posts belong here.

Please include the client name and version number.
Not all requests will be entertained.
Please do not request clients that are on the blacklist.
Check to make sure your client has not already been requested and denied.
Just for reference, click here for the most up to date whitelist.

uTorrent betas will not be whitelisted unless we have a very good reason.  Please do not request them!

Have a nice day! =]
~MarchHare

Duki3003 edit: All new uTorrent 3.x stable releases will be delayed for a few weeks (usually 2) until the client proves stable, please avoid requesting it over and over again - it will not get it whitelisted faster!
Users who fail to follow this will receive up to 30 day warnings on their accounts.

mianghuei edit: Same goes for Bittorrent 7.9 and above. Any further request of the same version, even if it has a different build number, will result in temporary suspensions.

Sherlock Edit: Whitelisting will happen when it will happen, and repeated requests with PM will not make it happen, and can lead to infarctions.

uTorrent 1.8.1
Is this not on the whitelist simply because it's old? :(
Adding it would be nice, as it's my current client of choice, and right now I'm away from my personal seedbox and won't have access to it for another day or so.

Ninja Edit: first post on forums and thread! ;D

Well, alright...
Mind my asking why 1.7.6 and 1.7.7 are okay then?

Official 4.4.1

This is the last version that suports OS X 10.3 reliably, which is what I run on my seed box.

(And yeah I would upgrade if I could.  :P)

Hi Jarudin,
I'm using enhanced ctorrent with the User-Agent header "Enhanced-CTorrent/dnh3.2"
I've been using this client for a year now and is mostly accepted by most trackers that bans other torrent clients. :)
Also this client is not a beta version and does not report incorrect stats to a tracker.

Please if possible, allow this torrent client :)
thank you very much!

I use uTorrent v1.6.

It is the last version released prior to uTorrent being sold.  I see that your whitelist states v1.6.1 is the last version released prior to new corporate code being added, but uTorrent is closed-source so there is no way to verify that.  I don't feel safe using any version released after the sale, so I plan to stick with 1.6.

I'd also like to ask if it's possible for uTorrent 1.6.0 to be added. It probably seems redundant since 1.6.1 is already whitelisted, but I'm running an older setup and 1.6.0 has been much more stable than any other version of uTorrent I've tried, including 1.6.1. Thank you.

yeah Jarudin much appreciated if you could whitelist UTORRENT 1.6  as I think it's more reliable/authentic , and would find it very hard to switch from Old Faithful. It has no issues that I know of or have encountered
(if it aint broke don't fix it).

Would be nice if you could whitelist deluge 1.2.0-dev

I've seen where you say you don't like "BETA" clients, but deluge 1.2.0-dev is much more stable than 1.1.9 for me which won't even load on my machine (I just tried it three times and had to force quit each time before it even loaded).  Deluge is much like mplayer; for the most part the upstream version is the most stable thing there is especially with regards to libtorrent updates.  Not to mention the fact that deluge 1.2.0-dev worked for me yesterday and all of a sudden I can't seed.  I'm not even trying to leech at this point, just build up my ratio which is already over 1.

ĀµTorrent 1.4.2 BETA (build 427)

Yeah it's old, but I don't want the new models. This one has what I need. You might as well Whitelist 1.3.1 - 1.5.9.

Ok, after messing up and putting my request on another forum area, I add myself to the ones requesting ABC 3.1 to be in the whitelist. It works well enough (3.1 doesn't have memory leaks, that would be 3.0.1) and I doesn't eat much RAM either. Ok, so it times breaks down _when I'm closing it_. I don't really mind that. It works, it's stable enough for my old computer (the one I use for seeding).

So pwetty pwease, put it in the whitelist ;)
