The primary advantage of an anime adaptation over a manga would be the action scenes; hence, these are some which I think might become decent action anime, depending on how they are handled:

Ubel Blatt
Drifters
Knights
Majin Devil
Sun-ken Rock

If they do get an adaptation, hope they reduce the nudity. Some fanservice isn't bad but too much is just distracting.

Silent waters run deep.
Silent humans, on the other hand, are usually just asleep.

That one got a short dinky little OVA but I'm totally with you on it needing a FULL anime.

It's better than GTO imo.

Yeah, and the OVA was kind of...eh.
Maybe I'd have liked it more if there had been more too it, but as a stand-alone, it just feels weak.

Horimiya
Koe no Katachi

Holy cow I'd love to see Horimiya animated. But we're gonna get Koe no Katachi! Movie is in the works. Wish it was going to be a series, but I'll take what I can get.

As for more manga I'd love to see get adapted.

I want a redo of Nausicaa, the movie rushes near the end and was made when the manga was only at Volume 2 (now at 7). It would be a great new direction for Ghibli especially if they made a TV show. They could let mini-miyazaki (Goro) direct it. Or Anno could direct it, he even worked on the original and him and Miyazaki are buds.

Oh better yet, take a bunch of famous directors who where inspired by Miyazaki and each of them work on an episode. That way you get a crazy variety in style and it can act as a homage piece to Miyazaki.

I still say Battle Angel Alita.

Hands down.

It's a crime that it was never fully adapted.  I just scratch my head in amazement that no anime studio will pick it up.

A PROPER rendition of the Berserk manga. Thats what I want! What we have now is good but to have just LEFT it RIGHT where stuff starts to get crazy... WTF were they thinking? Did they suddenly go bankrupt or something? Also, while the 3 movie remakes were pretty good, what was the point of even MAKING them? IIRC they end in virtually EXACTLY the same place as the series and explore even less of the events of the Golden Age Arc because they had to compress everything down into 3 90min movies...

Also a movie or series of Blame is something I've wanted for quite a while. I love the whole feel of that manga; the way the world looks, I love all that kind of stuff. Man I can imagine... If the people who made Ninja Scroll/Cyber City/Goku did a rendition of BLAME with their top quality art style it'd be great. Also the people behind the 1st Ghost in the Shell movie would be a good choice (one of the best looking anime movies, easily)...

Purple Eyes In The Dark (a half hour long music video doesn't cut it man)

And a proper continuation of 3x3 Eyes (because the 90s OVAs only cover, what, the first 10-15% of the story?)

The anime was made just to promote the manga, and it shows especially in how they do nothing to actually make it work for the anime media :-/

No the movies ended after THAT, which made a huge difference, and doesn't ruin it like the Anime did. The meaning with the movies was actually to do OVA of the rest of Berserk like Hellsing Ultimate, but for some reason that was dropped :-/

If Miura actually finish the Manga, then we can always hope it leads to a full Anime adaption.
