This manga has been on Japan top charts for so long its ridiculous.
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2011-05-31/top-selling-manga-in-japan-by-series/2011-first-half

Why isnt this manga more popular!?

I read it awhile ago and had it on my feed since then. It has plenty of potential I think but its not talked about that much because it has such a sparse release being a monthly and it hasn't progressed an extended amount. Completely worth the read though but remember that everything get explained EVENTUALLY.

And yet another excruciatingly slow releasing manga gets added to my "reading" list.

I don't mind slow releases, as long as it compensates in quality. Shingeki No Kyojin does just that. Let's just hope that it stays high quality.

I just finished reading what was available last night... damn that was good! So many unanswered questions.

My only complaint about this series is the gigantic amount of characters. I struggle with who's who and who has died and who is connected to who. But otherwise this is amazing!

for some reason the 2nd pick reminded me of Schoolgirl In Concrete. will look it up now. but if you look up schoolgirl in concrete, this manga is not for the weak and is based on a true disusting event.

Ohhhhhh damn. It's now confirmed that this is going to get animated in the spring of '13! If the world doesn't end before then, that's something to look forward to!

I particularly love the visual style of both anime and manga,
since there're complaints on how ppl(or just marketeers?) wish for more detailed artwork and deny anything else.
This manga kind of show how simple and sketchy drawing can also be ..artistic? well, idk,or just great.

It's now confirmed that this is going to get animated in the spring of '13!
inb4 watered down middle budget mediocre anime that diverges from the manga at some point in order to reach a pseudo-conclusion.
