Or not.  So far, BS Player simply does the best job on heavy-decoding files, such as h.264 10-bit 1080p.  You're welcome to reinvent the wheel or take my word for it, your choice :P.

How is it reinventing the wheel when mpv came before BSplayer?

I think my main issue though was the 1GB RAM because with PC bakemonogatari plays smoothly since it has 2GB RAM but audio jack in PC is broken ...When I get that fixed I'll upgrade my PC as well ... laptop is too old ... i'll just see how long it lasts (age: 7+ years)
I end a lot of processes on my laptop to watch 720p vids  :P

Tip: 1GB of ram is more than sufficient to watch 1080p anime.
If it stutters / desyncs etc, set your subtitles to 'default' - lose the effects. It can't decode and buffer that much so fast.

*If it has a good GPU or CPU.
I had issues with 10bit 1080p videos too before I upped the ram to 3GB for this piece of crap>

OK, well, yeah, your CPU is utter crap.  That laptop is pretty venerable.

You can buy a "vanilla" (no OS) PC off of Newegg for as little as $150, and laptops (with OS) for $200-300.  Gaming rigs can be had for under $500, for a desktop unit, and circa $800 for a laptop.
