It looks like the names are a bit different for me (Linux, v1.92):
1. There is no "Files"-button, but a "+ Add"-button.
2. There is no "New Torrent Properties"-button, but a "Properties"-button.

...and some really minor grammatical errors, like missing commas.

I messed up between 3 clients. Now fixed.

Edit: Will add steps for Deluge sometime later.

you still looking for help? i've been thinking of working on the keywords in specific (since i was looking for some definitions and didn't find them, *grin*, which is always an impetus for me to write up what's missing after doing my own research).

If you'd like to help, you're always welcome to.
However registration for wiki are closed, so if you or anyone else wants to contribute, just message me on the tracker so I can create you a wiki account.

I wasn't sure where to put this (first I thought Uploaders, but that seemed not entirely right), so forgive me beforehand please...  ;)

About the "Desirable Description Content" part of the Wiki. As far as I can see this was put together by previous staff (would be logical of course), but...

Lately I'm getting more requests to put in AniDB production and creator links in my descriptions, so while it's not mandatory it does seem to be becoming that way. Can I ask what the added value is of more links to AniDB? If one's really interested in more background info one can always follow the main AniDB link in the description, right? Was wondering...

Hi, I wanted to help out on the Wiki (I often contribute a lot on Wikipedia). I created my wiki account on BakaBT last year.
Are there any articles you guys need help on?
I have been keeping the Hi10p article up to date so far.
Also, for some reason, I'm unable to upload images on the wiki. Is there a fix for this? Or is it because I don't have sufficient permissions?

Thanks,
Looking forward to continue contributing to the wiki!
 :)

Pretty much wrote this the night I requested..heh.
Please let me know if it's hard to follow in a specific area, test if my keys are correct etc.
...

madVR capture tutorial

Notice: New versions of madVR can now take screenshots using MPC-HC's normal save dialog, but this guide can still be used for taking screenshots in the display resolution (anamorphic video) for normal MPC-HC users.
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.
"Use general seeking tips (link)" should link to a general purpose tips in getting finding good scenes, getting exact frames etc. elsewhere on the page.

can we get this moved into the new screenshot comparison  tutorial thread?

When taking screenshots with IrfanView (or anything that is not madvr's internal screenshot routine) there's a number of options in madvr you have to make sure are not affecting the output:
  • Devices > [Display used for screenshots]
    • Properties:
      • output levels: PC levels (0-255)
      • native display bitdepth: 8 bit (or higher)
    • Calibration: disable calibration or already calibrated
    • Color & Gamma: everything set to 0, gamma processing disabled
  • Rendering:
    • Smooth motion: disabled
    • trade quality for performance: every but cobyback and 3DLUT options must be disabled
As for scaling, i'd recommend setting chroma upscaling to Spline3/4 AR and image upscaling to Spline3/4 AR+LL to get some kind of comparable output (most important, though is not to use any nearest neighbour, bilinear or dxva2 and jinc only with AR

Not entirely sure what you're asking. Do you want someone to move the post, or are you perhaps asking for permission from xgraphy to reproduce it or what? D:

There is one additional category missing in the DO NOT UPLOAD list: titles blacklisted by the staff due to excessive shotacon/lolicon content, like Boku no Pico and Enzai.

Not necessary, I don't want to start making a list of every lolicon/shotacon hentai we reject.
Simple overall guideline no loli/shota is sufficient for the most part.

For manga - I agree. For anime, it will be only a dozen title long.

Why dont we have a page on the wiki dedicated to the history of BBT.

Other than it being a bit of trivia, it would serve no purpose. Accurate history can't even be compiled as staff has changed several times already.
If you're interested in details of what transpired, search the forums. Posts explaining some of the details are still available.
And if you'd like to see earlier history, you can find some breadcrumbs by using the wayback machine.

I wouldn't mind compiling it. I might serve as a model for other trackers. As far as I can tell BBT is one of the longest lasting trackers out there so you guys are doing something right. I just took a look at the WBM and I can see things from 2004ish and later so accuracy would be too much of a problem in that respect. It will be a lot to go thorough but I wouldn't mind if it ends up somewhere someone can read it.

I think you misinterpreted my response. More to the point reply is - no. This doesn't belong on the wiki.
Maybe blog if anything.

http://wiki.bakabt.me/index.php/BT_Clients#BitTorrent_.28Mainline.2C_Official.29

Please Note that Bit Torrent 6.1 is the first BT version to have the 'Relocate' feature implemented and thus no manual linking
So I would like for you guys to warn first timers of 6.0.x or change the title to 6.1 and above only

Note: BitTorrent  6.0.x have no 'Relocate' Feature and also their Files tab has 'Name' as a column instead of 'Path'
Manual linking cannot be done on these versions.

I had manually DLed all version to check but didn't want to post untill I had this-
http://forum.bittorrent.com/topic/42212-cant-find-relocate-feature-in-bittorrent-603/

Please make the change as this is for first timers - they need your help!!  :)
Also you guys give recommendations for the whitelist so for this -
http://wiki.bakabt.me/index.php/BT_Clients#BitTorrent_.28Mainline.2C_Official.29
Please recommend 6.1+ as manual linking is important for cross seeding and self-convenience and the WIKI is a guideline so we should guide  ;)

Not necessary. This should belongs to Bittorent's site, not BakaBT. It is up to the users to find which clients support Relocate function.

*in reply to ridon428 only*
@ridon428 I had posted that after considering the fact that BBT Wiki states -
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

Since It specifically mentioned BitTorrent 6 and BT 6.0,6.0.1,6.0.2 and 6.0.3 also fell under the category Bittorrent 6, I had made the post
And also because it is for first timers
