I heard about it yesterday. IIRC he released the idea yesterday so someone else could try creating it.

Meshnet... A completely decentralized NSA-proof internet. It'll be really nice if that ever picks up some traction.

is it immune to ISP snooping though?(i mean, do you even need an ISP with that?) that'll be pretty useful o.o
edit: hopefully it'll bypass region blocking too.
edit2: i think it'll have some nasty latencies though, wireless hopping adds a large latency penalty.

Haptix seems pretty cool. Looks a ton easier to use than LeapMotion does.

is there any estimated SRP when it hits retail? sounds like a good component for a TV instead of those effin expensive TV with built-in gesture sensors :X
saw it on the pledge list, estimated retail price is 70$, sweet.

That sounds great and all but if you're trapped in it, what if they can't get you out?

That doesn't mean shit, there is no perfectly safe car. Is this one really safe? Yes, but there will always be "acts of god" freak occurrences That just defy logic. there will always be a millions of different "what if's" or "this could be just like that", etc.

If you want safe: http://www.mortarinvestments.eu/products/tanks-2/t-72-42#currency=USD

If I had british residency I could actually own and drive the tank on any public roads in europe...

That's not how engineering does things. If it really bothers you that much buy a tank or something, but you are guaranteed to lose major $$$.

Actually considering how much cars cost over here it's not that much of a difference wether you pay 50-150k€ for a new car 450k for a maybach guard (that one is the stylish politician car) or a 30k tank^^
