Here are the screens of the details of two releases (Source : AniDB)

Release 2 Link ->http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=file&fid=1427592

It's the same size (almost) and resolution yet the quality is different according to AniDB

I wouldn't trust AniDB's quality star ratings that much. File #1 with the higher user count is most likely the better choice. But you can also post this on the Uploaders' Forum to get a wider range of opinions.

Release 1 is one of the newly approved offers in BBT

I can't find release 2 in any public site
Although there is an aB entry

Can anyone help me out please?

To be honest, I wouldn't worry too much about potentially getting an encode with slightly better video quality. The release I uploaded has decent video quality, even though it's a bit low-res and an XviD encode. What would really make more of a difference would be getting the current script translation checked, edited, and re-timed. That will make more of a difference in terms of enjoyment factor right now.

Well Actually I proposed our torrent (Release 1) be used to replace the aB one (Release 2)

The aB one seems to be very very rare
AniDB says Release 1 is better quality than Release 2
But I've been told not to trust on AniDB's judgement alone
And since you people know about video comparisons, I asked for your help

I would just upload it (Release 1) to replace/trump the old, rarer release (Release 2); you just report Release 2 after uploading the one from here. This release (Release 1) was definitely their final official release for this title. I also found a raw encode with similar file specs to Release 1, but I never downloaded it and actually compared the video quality myself.

Also, the source for Release 1 is DVD.

I guess that answer would not require any further speculation then,
since DVD trumps TV, right?

Thank you for answering
I opened both files, cannot find any difference in quality (complete noob I tell you  :'( )
