Monitors
« on: August 11, 2016, 06:56:58 am »
Can someone recommend a decent monitor to me?
I'm looking for something ~$150AU and around 22", though I can go any size really, space isn't an issue.

I see a bunch of crap on e-bay with 1680*1050 resolution for $30 but screw those. I want a proper 16:9 or 16:10 monitor with at least 1920*1080 resolution. Anything over 60Hz is welcome.

The reason is I'm sick of using my backup LG Syncmaster from like 2006 and my 46" TV is a little difficult to play certain games on.
My main use won't be gaming though, I'd prefer a monitor suited to graphic development, so I'll sacrifice refresh rate etc, for better bit depth.

Speakers would be nice, but are not mandatory.

Ports I can use are any. I've got cables for everything.

$150 AU? tight budget, you only got one choice.

http://www.cnet.com/products/benq-gw2255-led-monitor-21-5/specs/

otherwise you'll either have to increase your budget, or resort to cheap crappy TN monitors.

Budget is flexible, but I was hoping to stay around $150

That, however, appears to be decent enough. I'll look into it a little more when I've got time. Thanks, been out of touch with monitor technology for so long that I don't know whats good anymore.

Upon discovering extreme IPS Glow on my Asus VX239H (and breaking it up when I raged), I need a new monitor.

>Price range doesn't exceed 250USD
>IPS (with little to no IPS glow/bleed)
>24-27"
>With speakers
>2x HDMI
>Frame less design
>height adjustment if there's any
>Acer, Asus, LG, Samsung, or HP

For that price range, you're gonna have to forget about in-built speakers.

2xHDMI? what, inputs? I've never heard of any monitor with more than one HDMI input.

Most of the ultrawides coming out have multiple HDMI inputs,

But he will need to step his budget up. I know like the LG 34UM68-P has 2 hdmi, built in speakers and one display port, But you are looking around 399.00

I have no plans to buy a 2.1 speaker for a while so I'm getting a monitor with built-in speakers. My Asus VX239H has 2 HDMI/MHL inputs and I got this for 200USD.

I don't think I'd want a 34 inch 21:9. Plus, I want it 16:9.

I'm looking at Asus VX279H but with the current IPS Glow issue I have with VX239H, I'd rather avoid it for now.
