Minimum difference for anime torrents?
« on: February 26, 2017, 09:56:48 am »
Just wondering what is the minimum difference needed to upload a torrent?
For example:

https://bakabt.me/torrent/151169/slam-dunk-movies-1-4-divx-anf-tzzx - 848x480 Video, Japanese 2.0 Stereo, Vorbis, 74 kBit/s Audio, English, Turkish and Chinese Softsubs and 1.53GBs
VS
https://bakabt.me/torrent/127171/slam-dunk-movies-1-4-a-e-alf - 640x352 Video, Japanese 2.0 Stereo MP3 CBR ~64 kbit/s Audio, English Hardcoded subs and 1.1GB

Is the 400MB difference enough here? Or the ~350 pixel size difference?

There is no minimal difference, we accept uploads that are better somehow in many aspects from quality to translation.
The reason why the supposedly inferior version is kept in that instance is because the older alf release with hardcoded subs is a fansub, where as the newer upload contains subs of unknown origin, possibly ripped from DVD with unknown translation accuracy.
