Won't find peers
« on: March 18, 2017, 01:12:12 am »
I'm on Windows10.
I'm running utorrent.
I've read the http://wiki.bakabt.me/index.php/FAQ
I've donated and now have 50gb upload value.
I've redownloaded the torrent at least 5 times.

Why am I still unable to start the download?

I looked but could find nothing on where I'm supposed to offer a sacrifice to Huitzilopotchli. What am I missing?

Check the tracker message.
There are several possible reasons:
>You're using a VPN
>You're using a peerblock
>Antivirus software is interfering
>Firewall is blocking it
>ISP has something to do to this
>Incorrect router configuration
>Using the latest version of uTorrent. Check the Whitelist.

I'm assuming you created a new tracker account so I believe you are using that to download torrents.

While you're at it, run the following commands on CMD and post it here:
Code: [Select]
ping www.bakabt.me
ping tracker.bakabt.me
tracert www.bakabt.me
tracert tracker.bakabt.me

Problem has been resolved. I was using the latest version of utorrent and everything started perfectly when I downgraded.

That being stated, I can find no reason as to why the latest version, which is so far ahead that filehippo doesn't even have 3.3.1 available anymore (I had to do a google search to find a copy), hasn't been "whitelisted". Again, the problem is solved, it's just the solution was damned aggravating.

Later versions of uTorrent went real bad. Most private trackers don't support it anymore.

I've read the http://wiki.bakabt.me/index.php/FAQ
That's what most new users say. Just as I thought. You didn't read thoroughly.
