www.minitokyo.net has the odd review or two (at the main page, go to the bottom to see latest reviews).

There's a site like AniDB only for manga, but I can't find the URL anymore ~_~

I'm sorry, but baka-updates manga version is more like anidb than manganews is. Manganews may have more reviews, but it has very little in common with Anidb that lists groups and files regardless of license of the series. Mangaupdates also have tracking of series, voting on series, own lists...

Basically, the most similar to Anidb you get in manga is mangaupdates. Sorry, but that is just how it is, regardless of whether it is baka-updates or not...

I would liken manganews to animenewsnetwork in that that it has news and so on, not anidb...

In my opinion manganews is close the AniDB. MangaUpdates is obviously BakaUpdates, I didn't know MangaUpdates existed though.
I just use BakaUpdates to download some random anime that's still airing, I don't go there for information, their site isn't very user friendly :(

We can use both links though :)

I'll add them since Nah seems to have forgotten about it.

Also AnimeOnDVD - mainly useful for anime licensed in Region 1 (US/Canada)

Got any old fansubs on HDD/DVD/CD? Please take a look at this thread.

Yeah, wikipedia can be decent source of anime info, but there are no anime reviews (see topic title) on it afaik.

Firstly I check the anime in wikipedia to see if I am interested in its plot, setting etc then I see the rating in anidb . I decided never to read any reviews because I become kinda biased and many contain spoilers ...

i love animenfo because of their Top 200 Anime http://animenfo.com/statistic/top.php?type=anime , but i found the animes there is rather old and the list is not up to date  :'(
anybody knows a site that has a ranking system like one from gamerankings.com  ;D , where you can search anime by its ranks/votes by fans , magazines or some whatever awards in Japan  ;D , that will save a lot of time than asking in 4rum  ::) , thanks
