I'd like an ID on the lead vocals for the Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei OP and ED. I have a feeling it's Yuu Kobayashi, judging from the strength of her voice, but I'm not sure, so can anyone confirm this?

PS I love the themes used, all-around great intro and ending to every ep.

Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei OP: Ootsuki Kenji feat. Nonaka Ai & Inoue Marina & Kobayashi Yuu & Sawashiro Miyuki & Shintani Ryouko - Hito Toshite Jiku ga Bureteiru

Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei ED: Nonaka Ai & Inoue Marina & Kobayashi Yuu & Shintani Ryouko - Zessei Bijin

Great work with the guessing  ;D

i was wondering if someone could recommend me some "j-rock" groups or individuals along the line of "High and Might Color". i know there are quite some threads about j-rock, but i'm specifically searching for groups with a female lead voice.

I would like help identifying two songs. The first is from El Hazard: The Magnificent World (the original OVA part 1). The song is in the last episode (episode 7) and takes places when Makoto "gives" Ifrita his memories. I'm looking for the bgm song that takes place in that "flashback" scene. The second song is the song used in Sailor Moon when the outer senshi transform. If anyone could help me identify the song name and if they're included in the OSTs here, I would really appreciate it. Thanks

Hi guys - I have a bit of a problem.

I recently got the Ikkitousen OST box set, and I've been trying to find credits for the songs, so I can tag the artist right. The purpose is to be kind to last.FM.  :D I tried googling a bunch of different stuff and it just hasn't been working out for me.

Any help would be -much- appreciated, and thanks in advance.

in regards to the sailor moon song, I think it is called either Outer Senshi Transform or Outer Senshi theme. It should be on one of the albums...but as to which one...I am not sure, I'd think it is somewhere in the memorial song box...but I don't see it...and I can't seem to find it elsewhere online either...hmmm

is this the one you are looking for?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gKraUlervO0&NR=1

Ok, so as part of the AJATT (All Japanese All the Time) language learning program, I have to immerse myself in as much Japanese content as possible while also abandoning as much English content as possible (it even had me switch my OS's language setting to 日本語). Part of that, obviously, would be my music; while I already listen to a fair amount of Japanese music (~180 songs in my library) I need a lot more - enough to be able to loop it many, many times without getting tired and bored of what I'm listening to.

So basically, I need some Japanese music recommendations.

Some of the Japanese songs I've heard and liked include:

Come (Inuyasha Ending) - 安室奈美恵
Rewrite (FMA Ending) - Asian Kung-Fu Generation
Inner Universe (GiTS: SAC opening) - Origa
Rise (GiTS: SAC 2nd GiG opening) - Origa
A number of the Eureka 7 OPs/EDs
Sore Ga Ai Deshou (FMP: Fumoffu! opening) - 下川みくに
Kimi Ni Fuku Kaze (FMP: Fumoffu! ending) - 下川みくに
モザイクカケラ (Code Geass ending) - SunSet Swish
O2 (Code Geass R2 opening) - Orange Range
World End (Code Geass R2 opening) - FLOW
Rolling Star (Bleach opening) - YUI
After Dark (Bleach opening) - Asian Kung-Fu Generation
Hitohira no Hanabira (Bleach ending) - Stereopony
Colors of the Heart (Blood+ opening) - UVERworld
God Knows (Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi insert) - Hirano Aya
Face of Fact (LAMENT Version) - KOTOKO
Idea (Noein opening) - eufonious
Sora Iro Days (Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann opening) - Nakagawa Shouko
Megumeru ~cuckool mix 2007~ (Clannad opening) - eufonious
Last Regrets (Kanon 2006 opening) - Lia
風の辿り着く場所 (Kanon 2006 ending) - Lia
Toki wo Kizamu Uta (Clannad ~After Story~ opening) - Lia
Tori no Uta (AIR TV opening) - Lia
Over Night (Le Chevalier D'eon opening) - aya
Hitori no Yoru (Great Teacher Onizuka opening) - Porno Graffiti

As for non-Japanse music, I think the bands following are cool:

The Alan Parsons Project
Collective Soul (their old stuff, not the shitty new album)
Creedence Clearwater Revival
Fleetwood Mac
Foo Fighters
Gerry Rafferty
(Some) Green Day
Linkin Park
Matchbox Twenty
Michelle Branch
The Moody Blues
Pink Floyd
Rare Bird
Santana
Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers

Any suggestions?

If you like安室奈美恵 she has alot of other stuff. I like her song Body Feels Exit. iIf you like Asian Kung fu Generations get the rest of their stuff and what about checking out the Pillows (FLCL OP?ED)'  If you want guitarist then I'd say try Miyavi. ^_^ He's got a lot of style range so don't judge him by one or two songs. I first heard 日の光さえ届かない場著で、then started hunting down alot of his other stuff and he really has variety, so it is hard to say he is like one group or another. Also what about L'arc en ciel, most of their stuff does not sound like Ready Steady Go imo. i more of Jrock/Vk fan...so I'm not really up to date on groups like Orange Range.

Some other Groups I enjoy would be MOVE(Initial D 1st season Op/Ed and more) TM Revolution (Gundam Seed Op, kenshin 2nd ED? something like that.) Gackt, X Japan, Ayumi hamasaki (old Stuff) Do as Infinity (old stuff), and Angela (Stellvia/FAfner Op/Ed inserts and some other series). well maybe some of that helps.

There's a gal named Yui that sings with a pretty decent soft-rock/pop band, she has a nice voice, and the band is very talented.

YUI- Rolling Star
