Title: Multiple seedbox's one account?
Post by: xerojwo on December 05, 2008, 08:23:00 PM: Hey is it possible to be running uploads from more than one computer, utilizing the same boxtorrents account? Before I try it I thought'd I'd ask. I don't want to break any rules or anything.

A search of the forums shows that it doesn't break any rules, but then it's generally not looked upon as a good thing. If you are paying for these boxes then I think the staff would prefer you donate that money instead ;)

He's absolutely correct.
You're able to seed from multiple computers, as long as you don't seed the same torrent. (The tracker doesn't like people who do that.)

But if you're paying for a seedbox, the money is better spent donating. As stated in one of the links:

"For a week of seedboxing at say $10. You get 1tb of upload, but by donating, you get a lot more reward, sure, the upload total is less, but it's more of a contribution to the community."

Thanks for the input and answer to my question. I tried a forum search but didnt come up with anything. Perhaps my search parameters were too specific.

Im just asking in theory now because Im out of town and only seeding on my laptop at the moment. When ive finished with my contract here ill be back home with alot more toys to seed from. ;-)

Post by: geoffreak on December 08, 2008, 07:47:18 PM: As I mentioned in the other two threads, don't seed the same torrent from two locations for the same account. Although you can seed just fine, you might not get credit for one or both of the locations.

Post by: Lonewolf5460 on December 08, 2008, 09:09:52 PM: I had 2 seed boxes and my computer going at one point still got one of them. Never paid though beta testing ftw ;D As stated before don't seed the same torrent from two separate ip addresses and you will be fine.
