Title: Polygamy, first point of view

I am looking for series that contain polygamy (not to be confused with the harem genre/category which is monogamy in most cases). If there is one that is told from first point of view it would be even better. Manga or anime are both fine. Would prefer anime since it is more rare there.

If I have watched it or not is of no relevance for me since I simply want to break away from monogamy anime with love triangles, I have now watched 13 of those in a row (if I counted correctly).

I couldn't find a tag or category for this, also tried some searching prior to asking. So I am for once forced to ask for recommendations. If you can find a list of some kind that would also be awesome.

Edit Would prefer none hentai titles, but if that is all there is I'll take it.

Only anime I've seen where I remember the
word polygamy mentioned is Shuffle! (http://anidb.net/a2844).
It's not strongly featured nor is it first point
of view though.

Thought I'd mention it anyway ;)

Thank you for the recommendation. Yet shuffle feels like it falls under the harem monogamy label. :/

Pzc didn't mean that Shuffle contained polygamy as a theme, just that the word itself was uttered in the series. Alas, I haven't heard of any polygamy anime either... I would be interested to see it, though, if someone knows any.

The closest I can think of is Marmalade Boy and that was just a partner swap on the parents side, yet they still lived together. So it wasn't polygamy, but the closest I can recall.

There does seem to be some manga with the theme though. As seen by the responses I got at M-U (http://www.mangaupdates.com/showtopic.php?tid=13660&page=1#post315409).

It's not really polygamy per say, but the closest I've seen would be Mnemosyne.

Depends on how strict you are in your definition. How would you say True Tears is?

I only see love polygons in these anime. No polygamy. They all end up with one partner.

I dunno if Bakemonogatari fits the 'polygamy' description but it is in first person and the guy relates with shitload of girls, including his sisters.

Serei no Moribito is true, since it features several Empresses.

Souten Kouro I don't know if it fits, so it is an excellent recommendation as well.

I havn't gotten around to Kurenai but somebody else also mentioned this theme in it when I did a google search on the two together. So I think this also fits.

Call me a dick, but Tenchi GXP?  Strictly speaking the main character marries every single female member of his crew at the same time along with a bunch of girls who come completely out of nowhere for no reason.

EDIT:  Oh, and he marries his cat-rabbit too.

Yeah, but it's not exactly central to the story—more of a side-note to explain one character's past.

I don't know Tenchi GXP but from your short description it sounds like that.

Just finished kurenai and polygamy is in the background and part of the plot device. It isn't the solution in the series, but it still had a nice thing going for it in this category.

Not to pick on you and your spelling specifically, but I love how no one seems to be able to spell Code Geass. I see "Code Gease" and "Code Geese" and "Code Grease" and now "Gode Geass"...

And the best part is it doesn't even matter because everyone still knows what you are talking about.
