Recently SS released Hyakko Extra. Currently BakaBT has the BSS version up.
http://bakabt.me/148714-hyakko-extra-bss.html (http://bakabt.me/148714-hyakko-extra-bss.html)
It was the only one available back when the OVA was released. Would it be worth it to replace the existing BSS release with the SS release? That would provide translation consistency across all the releases.
Here are some screenshots to compare the BSS and SS releases:

Since this isn't bundled with the series, the consistency isn't as big a deal.
SS's seems a bit overcropped. :/

What's up with your BSS screen shots? There's edge noise along the bottom of them that isn't present in the encode and they're a bit blurred, too.

I don't have SS's version so I don't know if there's anything wrong with the other screens.
SS's version is cropped more but looks to have a little better aspect ratio. The tray the waitress is holding in the second shot is round in SS's but slightly oval in BSS's. Not that you'd notice either when actually watching them.

The BSS screenshots are from the release on BBT already. I didn't take any screenshots of the BSS release myself.

Yeah.. that's my fault. The BSS screenshots look a bit blurry with "edge noise" because I was using the wrong method to take them. :P
Here, I re-took them with VLC for a better comparison:
BSS:

SS:

I wasn't sure before, but I now see that the BSS release is clearer. SS is blurrier, especially around the lines. Seems a bit overcropped to me as well.

Way to be a smart ass without actually saying something smart.

Why is the blue round thing kind of blocky? Is that present in the encode?
Please check in a media player that is not VLC (in a different media player than before), and make sure that the video renderer isn't using a resizer like Bicubic (especially if you are using print screen).
-
No, it's present in both encodes. However, the blockyness disappears when viewing it with a media player that uses overlays in it's video acceleration. Catch-22 is that you can't take screenshots when using overlays. VLC has a built-in screenshot function that saves the screen as a .png in it's original resolution and aspect ratio, but it still has to switch off it's overlay for that split-second.
In other words, regardless of what media player was used, that's what you'll see when looking at a screenshot. However, also regardless of media player, when using overlay (which is usually on by default), you'll see smooth edges when pausing the video at that point. You'll see what I mean if you pause the video, observe the picture, go into settings and turn off overlay, then look at it again.

Could you please take a snapshot(file-> save image, or frame capture with ffdshow video) with Media Player Classic with EVR-Custom (if you are on Vista or Windows 7).

Here (http://img641.imageshack.us/img641/8742/snapshot20100224191553.jpg). It's a little closer to the actual output but it's still going to look better when viewed in a media player with overlay.
-
Oh well. Weird how it looks like that. Thanks for the screenshots.

No prob.
I wouldn't replace the BSS, but maybe the SS release could be upped as a group C version. Judging from the resolution, the screens that Anihevol provided where from their Xvid encode. I personally don't think this OVA really warrants a group C just for the sake of having one, though..

They weren't from the Xvid encode.

Well, it's just that your screens were 856x480, the same dimensions of the Xvid encode at first glance. I now see that the h264 of SS is anamorphic.
That being said, SS is overcropped and doesn't offer as fine a detail as BSS. Unless you want to do a comprehensive translation comparison as to who's is better, your best bet as an offer is the Xvid SS release, complimenting the h264 BSS torrent.
