Title: Sgt. Frog. You can pirate anything! (maybe?)
Post by: balmung42 on March 22, 2013, 07:45:43 AM
Is it just me or has anyone else noticed the lacking of dubbed sgt. frog torrents.  I've searched for the last few days and found nothing but single file updates of each ep.  Any one have any idea why?  (here obviously funimation.  they kind of have damn near everyone big in funimation in it(minus andrew love)).  Soooooo any one have ideas?  i've run out of sites and my buddy (google) is being lazy.

From what I can tell on AniDB, (http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=1552) the only groups that released dual-audio versions (DBNL and Anime-Anarchy) seem to be dead. And they mainly distributed via IRC, not by torrents. So unless those files are floating around elsewhere, you may be out of luck unless you're in a position to buy the actual DVDs.

Note that only the first 51 episodes were ever dubbed, and afaik Funi has no plans to release any more.

Ah that explains why tis so hard to find torrents for any of it.  i found it streaming in a few places but most is broken lol.  Maybe i'll buy it and rip it and share to the world lol.  the only dub torrent i ever found was in hebrew lol

You could try to ping any of the users on AniDB claiming to have DBNL's or AA's release on their drive.
For example, here is the link showing everyone who has the first episode of DBNL's release:
http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=userlist&fid=652125

...not saying they'll necessarily help you, but you don't know if you don't try.
