I've noticed that the search function in looking for torrents on the main site seems to be a bit buggy. I don't usually use the search function for specific torrents, but sometimes when I do search for one, usually the search function seems to have trouble in locating the torrent.
An extreme example would be earlier, when I was searching for the anime "30-sai no hoken taiiku". If i search for 30, I noticed that there's no effect on the listed torrents, it just appears that it's searching, but it isn't. If i search for "no hoken", the search result is empty. If i search for "taiiku", I still get an empty result. When I type in the whole title, the result is still empty.
And now, when i tried searching for "no hoken" i only get the music but not the anime torrent for "30-sai no hoken taiiku". When I searched for taiiku, I get both the music and the anime torrents.
It's such a pain to look for a specific torrent file when I'm trying to reseed files that i've long removed from the torrent client's library.
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this issue or if there has been an earlier post on this topic (i've tried using the forum search, but it seems that i have to wait 5 minutes after each search).

You may have unchecked categories above the search dialogue.
There are some problems with our search that we weren't able to resolve but not those you're mentioning.
Searching for every example you mentioned will find both the anime and music except searching for 30, which will give thousands of results (which makes sense in a way).

If you're still having trouble, then you could always use a Google search to search for .torrents files within BakaBT itself. Just type in
[your query here without the brackets] inurl:bakabt.me -inurl:forums.bakabt.me
It's a pretty roundabout way of going about it, but if it helps.
