dubkats:
also been using linux too :3
depends what you are usign it for, and also your budget..
mac
*is great as an out of box ready to go product. however when you hit trouble then it would be hard to fix by yourself(it is unix base at the back).
*is great for designer task focus on picture accuracy (the screen is so much more better, you could built a pc/linux to the same spec but you will have to shop around and waste time)
*be prepared to pay a premium (eg 2x or more for a similar offering from linux or windows)
linux
*is free and is really great for everything as well, as long as you are willing to put some time into configuring it!!
windows
*is still the one for gamers. It will probaly keep it's reign because mac enjoys screwing people over with each new OS (unless apple fix this)
*is most use in businesses because they software or business model has been built around microsoft, and to change it would cost too much time and money
*great compatibility with most hardware
there is definately more factors to considered but that is as general as i can get.
If you really want the godly option that can do everything get linux/freebsd....etc
why not mac? hardware is too proprietry even with hackintosh setup
note: yes i notice lots of spelling mistake... i jsut woke up.... 7.12am now... got to get ready for work...cya
