gpu fan is set to 20 percent because i don't use my gpu other then to utilize two screens (got a 42" LED tv to the right), and i keep the cpu fan clean from dust, so its nearly completely silent

since the case is open the exhaust fan is pointless to have plugged in

the psu fan is even more quiet then the cpu fan

How do you set up/configure your fans. I have a laptop and I really can't make out if the fans running or not. Sometimes it get noisy indicating fan's running, but I can't feel that much air coming out of the vents.

Is there a software through which I can monitor/control my fans?

Its as simple as a software called speedfan, although not all motherboards allow you to actually change the fan speed, but it will most likely be able to show you how fast they are going.

And if your laptop gets hot, then make sure to dust it out. If its not a case of having to disassemble it completely into each individual part, then i suggest you do so once in a while. If not, then you should invest in some compressed air.

You might want to check to see if your motherboard provider has their own software for doing it first, since that should work the best. Speedfan has never worked properly for me other than to show fan speeds. Some motherboards (ASUS for example) also provide fan controls in the BIOS which you might want to check out (though not as good as using software to do it normally).

^Not really disassembling but I can remove the back-cover. And I have done that, and dust it once in a while. Though it only gets hot when I play games, not at other times.

And yeah, speedfan never worked for me. Nor are any temp. recording software. My config. is Core @ Duo T5800 (2Ghz).

Really? Speccy or HWmonitor doesn't show your temps?

Speccy and HWmonitor both seems to work, though they don't keep logs.

Anyway, a correction. My motherboard is actually 'Quanta ql8'. Doesn't look like you can change the speed for this one, nor can I find any drivers for this one. Lappy is a LG R510. If anyone could help out it would be nice. Motherboard's normally running at 60 degree Celsius, which is high, I think.

60 degrees on a laptop motherboard is average, nothing to worry about. Rather check the cpu temps.

But really, most laptops run at 50-60.

mothers turion laptop survived for two years being 85-95C all the time

Great case isn't it?

What fans are those and are they quiet?

Oh god, that cable management is horrible, I found the management in this case good if you put some effort into using the back part.

The are Noctua fans and they are dead quiet. I also have a CM 120 and a Antec Tri-cool hidden in the front.

omg Radar19, you need to do some wire management. Nice system but very messy

Effort, it runs ok but i need to get a new case soon.

It's a bit messy, sorry. Actually cleaning it up during this posting. it's a shared room. My compy sits where my gf's laptop used to.

Can't really see it, but there's a shana decal on the side window

This doesn't really show it, either, but it shows it slightly better

Ran out of drive bays, so I sacrificed my optical drive, I'll just get an external enclusure. my HDD cage that lets me put in 4 more drives.

in the dark, need to get some sort of finger guard.

That person's server rack a couple pages back. It inspired me to serously think about buying one server chassis and run it to house more hard drives.I've already got 8 in my case anyways, I'm out of SATA ports, and i don't even have an optical drive because I sacrificed it for another 2TB.
