Mistgun_Zero:
How do you set up/configure your fans. I have a laptop and I really can't make out if the fans running or not. Sometimes it get noisy indicating fan's running, but I can't feel that much air coming out of the vents.

Is there a software through which I can monitor/control my fans?

failboat:
Its as simple as a software called speedfan, although not all motherboards allow you to actually change the fan speed, but it will most likely be able to show you how fast they are going.

And if your laptop gets hot, then make sure to dust it out. If its not a case of having to disassemble it completely into each individual part, then i suggest you do so once in a while. If not, then you should invest in some compressed air.

Bob2004:
You might want to check to see if your motherboard provider has their own software for doing it first, since that should work the best. Speedfan has never worked properly for me other than to show fan speeds. Some motherboards (ASUS for example) also provide fan controls in the BIOS which you might want to check out (though not as good as using software to do it normally).

Mistgun_Zero:
^Not really disassembling but I can remove the back-cover. And I have done that, and dust it once in a while. Though it only gets hot when I play games, not at other times.

And yeah, speedfan never worked for me. Nor are any temp. recording software. My config. is Core @ Duo T5800 (2Ghz).

failboat:
Really? Speccy or HWmonitor doesn't show your temps?
