That person's server rack a couple pages back. It inspired me to serously think about buying one server chassis and run it to house more hard drives.I've already got 8 in my case anyways, I'm out of SATA ports, and i don't even have an optical drive because I sacrificed it for another 2TB.
wut?!
how many TeraByte do you have now?

Setup in the bedroom... "Workstation" PC on the right, HTPC and Receiver under the TV and consoles under that.

(click to show/hide)
Pretty old by now, AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ Black Edition running at 3.2Ghz. Twin Radeon HD 3870s. Shitty MSI 790FX board that doesnt always boot.  >:(
Probably just gonna gut this later and build a new system for ~$600. I love the CMStacker case though! I mostly just use it anymore for brute force things like games, which is why its connected to the TV instead of a 21" LCD that I now have sitting in a closet. lol I use a laptop for daily use.

(click to show/hide)
HTPC I built into a Xbox case and using XBMC. Old pic though, it now has a BD-Burner and an SSD (since all my space is on the server now) and more of the internal parts to hold it together.

(click to show/hide)
My household server, currently at 8TBs until hard drive prices come down.  :'( Can hold three of the 5x3 backplanes, I need a SATA card that supports 16 ports first though.  ;D
Its sitting in my work room, the area I build cases, do wiring, etc, damn thing sounds like a jet engine. haha

Here's mine! Although not very good pictures since I had to take it with a camera phone + my flat doesn't have the best lighting.

Anyway picture number 1:

(click to show/hide)

My PC tower + Moniter + External harddrive which is sat on the bottom shelf.  My moniter is actually a 22 inch TV instead of a proper PC moniter.  It was the TV from my room when I stayed at my parents and me and my boyfriend decided just to make it the PC moniter.

Picture 2:

My 42 inch TV which has been set up as a dual moniter with my 22 inch. :)

No we don't have a giant bed or a tiny Mathew. The perspective just looks off in this photo. (Made me laugh)

My space is the study atm because my bedroom has damp. So please don't tell me I need to learn how to better manage it. There isn't even room for a wardrobe in here.

you've got to start having cable management, you're bound to trip on one of those cables and start a disaster, or worse, a fire.

Let me spell it out to you guys in simple, easy to understand language.

My bedroom has mould.

We found it while packing to move in 3 weeks.

Mould is bad for you.

We can't sleep in our bedroom.

We had to move stuff into the study as fast as we could.

THE STUDY IS TINY.

I'm more likely to fall over the mattress considering THERE IS NO SPACE TO STAND BY THE WIRES.

Yeesh.

Apologies if I sound aggressive but I posted to show that the room isn't ideal at all. Not to be told how terrible I am for not having organised things perfectly. ._.

This is the first real mention of it youve made (other than "my bedroom has damp" which doesnt make any sense), I wouldnt consider this "Let me spell it out to you guys in simple, easy to understand language." Its more of a "Let me actually explain what happened." But thanks for enlightening us.

I kept forgetting to take a picture of my laptop... But considering its just a laptop that doesnt have a normal setup space I will take a picture of the only outwardly interesting thing about it. lol

Like I said, dont take my comment as an insult, I was just stating that you should (or probably just could in this situation) better manage the little space you have. Of course, if its just a hold over for the time being (as we just learned?) then maybe it isnt as important.

And its also mentioned a fair few times elsewhere on the forum.
And we are meant to notice every post you make elsewhere on the forum? Sorry, I dont stalk people online.
