When I saw this. One Tb isn't so hot anymore. I could use a new hard drive right now though :(

Come over to my house and take my TBs for free. ^_^
Parts of it I admired greatly, parts I laughed at till my sides were almost sore;
other parts I read with absolute sorrow,  because I think them utterly false and grievously mischievous...

If you're in NoVA, I will - hard disks are expensive.

I need some terabytes I can actually plug into my computer bad. I have a 2TB Time Capsule but it isn't worth shit because I can't seed from it, and there isn't an effective way to use it as just an archive. Terabyte+ hard drives are still comparably expensive, but their prices have dropped way more dramatically in the past 6 months or so than since their introduction to the consumer market from what I've noticed. Plus, if you're using it for seeding (I'm assuming most people's upload bandwidth is going to bottleneck first), archiving or basically anything other than running games from it, you don't really need high transfer rates, write or read speeds. If I got a TB+ HD I would just get a Caviar Green like you Clannad_92, no sense in using anything more unless there is something more reliable.

I'd post a picture of my setup but my room is disgusting and it's just a laptop with an HDMI cable sticking out of the side.

(Click the pic for the rest)

I am organized the way koalas are active. At least my cable management is decent (the two hanging PCI-e power cables are for the graphics card I had to RMA). The desktop isn't on because for now it has no internet. The other laptop is a Toshiba M45 S165 which I was (still am) trying to install Linux on; I'm losing that battle.

Any computer geeks that own the new Core i7 3000 Series generation? Love those CPU's. Even a 2500-2600 Series is fine too. Show them pictures.

Ah, also - aquarium baby-oil filled with a computer inside is sweet.

revival heuhuerhueh

Sometimes I think about upgrading my shitty rig but then I realize i'd never really game enough to justify a $500 purchase.
Camera always makes any light look like a supernova, it seemed somewhat dim when I took the picture too.

^upgrade the monitor to a 27" one, or better yet a 32", it would be a badass gaming/theater setup.

It actually already is a 32" TV haha.
And yeah, when I ordered them I didn't think they'd be so big since they're apparently classified as bookshelf speakers. Was pretty surprised when I got them, but i'm kind of thankful that I didn't have to end up ordering stands for 'em since they're already at the perfect height.
