Too many cables.

Also, I wanted to get a keyboard cover like that, but as I have a UK keyboard layout I can pretty much just get black or clear :(

iv tried cleaning up the place ,but it goes back to that every single time ( maybe mostly because I've got only one socket on the wall and am making up for it with too many splitters on the table ) ...i think the cables like to taunt me ! .. and I've also got a purple/blue cover as well :P

+1
a good trick to hide cables is to buy a cut-open tube and tuck them in it(any type of tube that can be cut-open, although should be tolerant to some heat).

or tuck those cables behind the desk and use a zip-tie or twist cable to bundle them together.

a specific technique is to isolate the cables you regularly move onto a different bundle, also if you often plug and unplug a few of those cables, having a separate extended outlet works(extension cords comes in mind).

edit: you can already start cable management now, pull the table forward by about 1/2" and tuck the cables behind. you may push the table back but don't squish the cables.

The table is flush with the wall. Dont you think i'd have tried to hide it behind otherwise ..  I look into the cut open tubes sometime soon once im free or my college exams and stuff :)

Unfortunately, my monitor ceased to function, so I have to use this TV from the other room which takes up a lot of desk space AND is just way too close to my face :(

There must a be a reason for tanking things. And all must be in certain balance.
But what that balance is, must depend only on you, nobody else.

http://www.afrotechmods.com/

a cool site for mods. At first I laughed about it.... but seriously some of the ideas are actually workable.

first I was like this:

then I was this:

now I run around with this:

Acer 7745G. Is a good allrounder where I can actually play Crisis, Battlefield, CoD, GTA, Guild Wars, Total War, Bioshock, Dead Space, Sniper:Ghost Warrior, etc on it. sometimes I have to turn down the resolution on games like Battlefield, Bioshock or Sniper but overall it a good little machine for what it costs.

just got my new PC parts yesterday.

HIS HD 7950 IceQ X2 3gb/384bit
FSP Raider 80+ Bronze 550w
Aerocool PGS QS200 Lite Mini Tower
Crucial M4 256gb
3Tb WDC RED (WD30EFRX)
A4tech Bloody Gun3 V5 Gaming Mouse
Roccat Sota (mousepad)
--------------------------------------
all of these for 900$

HD7950 is running at 1050/1400mhz @ 1.075v / 72-85c (72c gaming / 85c furmark)
anything over 1050mhz gives artifacts during load, that voltage seems to be the lowest it can go without crashing drivers.

i'll take some pictures of the inside after i finish transferring 2TB worth of files, at the moment i'm pretty much satisfied without much buyer's remorse.
next up is the base platform(cpu, mobo, ram), intel haswell :D

I ordered the xfx 7950(reference version) yesterday, will get it in a week.
It should overclock nicely but if not(I'll throw it out the window), I'll just get an overclocked version of it or go for the 7970.

Madvr will benefit from the upgrade and most important, far cry 3, hitman, and metro 2033, games I want to play but can't, for now.

Never doubt the awesomeness of misty... those monitors have a mind of their own... they show you what you think you should see... the reflections are just a diversion!

30Watt/screen ==> 30Wx24=720W max. Compared to that a normal refrigerator consumes around ~1000W (~100W when not running). So yeah, it's just like having a second refrigerator. No frightening power bill increase. :P
