It looks like your computer is in two different cases. :P

Haha, that is awesome! Take that, all those cheesy cases with windows, leds, cold cathodes and a dozen fans!
Nope, there's still nothing here.

Ah, very... "Industrial"... That's gotta be the most creative use of a rubbermaid tub I've ever seen you should show that one to Martha Stewart. Kinda looks like a post-apocalypse techno scavenger's computer system.

I'm going to ask a totally different question (since you already know what a lucky bastard you are ;) ) - what lens is that? The 10.5mm f/2.8 Nikon one?

This is the lense:

would that type of plastic generate static? If so then I wouldn't use it

Most likely it will hold a static charge pretty well but you can get a spray that adds a conductive layer which dissipates the static.

The guts of that PC are a decade old and half of their time was spent in that container.

It goes without saying that I neglect upkeep.
I'm surprised I get praise for a haphazard setup that a toddler or stray animal could destroy.  ::)

Don't confuse my comments for praise. I think it's ugly, I was just being nice kinda like telling a proud mother her baby is smart when it's still too young to be anything of the sort.

The originality and creativity more than makes up for the ugliness. I kind of doubt it ever was meant to be (or needed to be) safe or practical anyway.
Nope, there's still nothing here.

This'll be my setup quite frequently throughout the summer  8)

Nothing like LANing at my buddies cabin. Swimming + Sauna + Beer + multiplayer NWN 2 = Best weekends ever!

I would never bring a computer outside like that, knowing my luck it would end up getting ruined  :-[

Lake Nipissing

I'm not too worried about the bugs. The largest insect that'll get into the netted gazebo is a mosquito. It's nothing a little compressed air can't fix.

How's the internet up there? I know it's tough to get a decent connection in Huntsville and that's a ways south of there.

It's terrible  :D

At the camp itself there is no phone, no internet. Which is the appeal of it, for me anyways. Working tech support it's nice to be somewhere where there is no service, not even cell reception.

It would be completely possible to get a "highspeed" point to point wireless connection (on a good day 128/128kbps). But the ISP out there is complete balls, they have the worst network design ever.

Pure water is non conductive and would be less messy than mineral oil but it is hard to keep pure.
