You have some very nice parents. I had to spend over $4000 in savings (and graduation money ;) ) to buy my two computers :-X

They can be occasionally, and you spent a lot of money on 2 computers  :o

I will need to get my own monitor and keyboard at some point though, I'm using the ones that belong to a computer (That wasnt being used) at my dads office.  :D

Dammit, reading this thread makes me wish my area wasn't so damn jobless. My 2Ghz iMac G5 is starting to show its age (mainly when playing HD video) and its 500GB HD is feeling rather cramped these days...

to bad you cant afford to invest in a new spiffy mac, cuz 500$ goes alot further on a pc then on a mac mini

Yeah, I have a MacBook Pro 2.4 GHz (early 2008) as well as a Mac Mini 1.83 GHz. The MBP was around half of the cost by itself and the Mini + monitor + mouse and keyboard + Drobo (4 x 1TB) + Wacom tablet (Intuos3 6" x 8" - Got it real cheap btw) made up the other half.

While that's true, it'll run Windows, which is the dealbreaker. I could run Linux, but it still has a number of little naggy problems with it and it won't run my Mac apps (some of which I'm quite attached to), whereas with a Mac I can run both my favorite Mac apps, all the uber-useful Linux utllities (gogo rTorrent!), and most Windows apps with WINE (it's ported, yay).

That said, I wish Apple would start officially supporting homebuilt boxes. I'd love to build a hackintosh if I didn't have to rely on the hackintosh community to keep things running.

I can't seem to find a good position, all leads to either too much heat being generated or too near the window with all the dust blowing in. My father dumps all his paper documents in the same room and its piled up until the ceiling(literally). And I got this huge steel cabinet just sitting there, moving it by myself is really tough.

My entire setup is mobile and can easily fit in a suitcase. I would take a picture of it if I had a camera to do so  ::)

This is some of my home lab. theres more in a room next to the rack. In that rack theres about 6 TB of storage. its linked on a catalyst layer3 gige switch. a cheap-o dell 24 porter does out-of-band management. they all run debian. The bit with the orange lcd second up from the bottom is a silkworm fiber switch hooked into a SAN my job chucked cuz they were too lazy to fix it.
