I wouldn't even try to have something like that. To me (since I wont use it) will be a waste of time, money, and effort

I do stuff for work on that monstrosity as well as home stuff, so its not so bad. If I didn't use it, I'd get rid of it. It definitely costs too much to run from home. $600+ a month for power alone, not counting bandwidth. Hopefully I'll be upgrading the SAN soon to a Eurologic SanBlock2. Or one of the new Infotrends (if i can waffle it from work. they throw so much good stuff out).

I hope you dont pay that bill

And I hope you scale a few servers down to an Intel Atom (Those things can run VMware well enough for production use as a Domain Controller!)

A close friend of mine, curriegrad2004 (he never bothered to give me his real name either, but calls himself currie...) built a Server based on the Intel Atom to handle NAS storage and etc, and as far as I know, it works perfectly for him!

Well, here's his forum post on reporting that Win2K3 works perfectly on the Intel Atom here:

LeiliaMyr:
I take whatever I can get. Usually 2-3 year old units from work. I'm hoping to replace some of the bigger stuff with 1u units and maybe consolidate some of the storage. A buddy of mine has a cage in dorsai data center in New York for his consulting business, I'm hoping he'll let me throw some of my stuff in there...

Tatsujin:
Saw the whole thread.

Harvy, Naru, Jarudin, Lurch, houkouonchi, DigitalSteel, redemtionboy ... you guys have the best PC set ups. I had the courage to clean my room and organize it, I tossed alot of shit away and put my PS1/2 games away as well (got so many PS3 games). I need to get me a very good camera so I can take HQ pictures, at the very least. My problem is my speaker set up, but its all good.

aghstnashell -- I have the same case as you do, the same exact one.

My question to Houko and DigitalSteel is, the way you guys are facing your CPU fans is directed towards your RAMs, I have mine facing down on my Video Card (fan facing that way). I don't totally understand ... I have my PSU sucking the air (if thats what it does). Did I do my set up wrong? ... I'm a noob at this. I had this set up for more than a year. I really need to get a camera ..

Edit -- My other question is to Jarudin, I really like the left monitor that you have there, thats where you have you uTorrent (probably) running off on? What type of monitor is that? The one I have is Acer in which alot of them don't allow you to set up your monitor upwards.

captiosus:
Well, i finally got my camera working :P

And here are pics of my setup
Full setup (i know its blurry, i took it with my cellphone)

Here is the IBM computer (P3 1ghz, 512Mb PC133, up to 128Mb video {shared}, hard drive currently removed)

The Compaq Evo (P4 2ghz, 512Mb DDR PC2700, 64Mb video, 80Gb hard drive with 40 external)

and my lappie (Pentium M 2ghz, 2Gb DDR2 PC4200, 128Mb dedicated video, 160gb internal with 250 external (the hard drive off to the right is it)

The Compaq is my media machine, the IBM used to be my seederbox until the power bill showed up, and i was forced to take it out of action :P The laptop is my general use machine, and the most powerful of the three ( ;D )

By the way anyone want some spare P4 processors?  LOL

NaRu:
