'Akasha' is the origin of everything, where everything, anything and everyone comes from.

Ryougi connects to the Akasha... and I forget the rest. Go to Baka-Tsuki for a WIP project on the translation of the novels.

Nanaya/Tohno Shiki see 'the death of things' or, to put it another way, 'the (fated) end'.

If I'm recalling correctly, Nanaya's power is more of 'because you killed it, it was cut'. Ryougi's power may be 'because you erased its existence, it was cut'. Where erasing the existence is destroying the Akashic record... maybe.

Quote from: Type-Moon Wiki
Ryougi Shiki: Possesses the ability to perceive the death of life force and also the death of the existence of objects and concepts alike. At this level, it enables her to perceive and annihilate physical material, persons, diseases, ghosts, intentions, and even magecraft.

could'nt of explained it better my self, nice one

gonna be a couple of days before I see the second movie, waiting for the DVD to be delivered

Kureshii, I linked to them just in the post just a few above yours. XD

I guess a few more links won't hurt, considering...

Nikran: I was referring to Ryougi's calling of Mikiya 'Cocteau' - because Kokutou sounds like Cocteau.

Yuuup~ Not all of them are just 50 minutes though, so they'll be closer to a 'real' movie's length.

GAH! After watching that trailer i must see the 4th movie.....like 6 months away, gah! If like the greatest teacher ever could get me to learn japanese + kanji insanely fast, i'd charge over to japen and go watch the thing in the cinema. The 3rd movie will be great no doubt, but that trailer made the 4th look almighty incarnate ;D

Given the length and release dates, these sound more like OVAs.

OVA = released directly to DVD.

Just finished the 3rd movie. Epic. Awesome.

I just finished it as well. It is indeed nice. I liked it better then the first, but I think I liked the second more (which I also watched for the first time this morning).

I know what an OVA is. (I did take part in that "defining anime" thread and I did happen to define what OVA is. I also know that movies and OVAs have been mixed up in the past (along with short series and OVAs). I'm just confirming. They seem to be released too quickly.

Indeed Epic. This is a prime example of great anime ;D

Why on earth does Azaka not like Shiki? I like Shiki, everyone else likes her, whats not to like about Shiki? ;D Azaka is just jealous cuz she ain't as great as Shiki is, haha :D

Lol that was a great scene between those two. Definitely needed to lighten the mood imo. I'd have to say I like the second movie the best so I'm REALLY friggin looking forward to the fourth film. It aired in may so it should be out in November. Makes me sad, I hate waiting but Shiki is worth it :D

Anyone who goes out of their way to get raped unwillingly (itself a contridiction) is not sane. Azaka was apologizing to her victims as she killed them slowly.

Shiki was somewhat sane in her younger days. She only sowed her victims back together in strange ways and carved out their flesh.

Also when panzy boy (can't remember his name) is pinned down and she tells him to say something.

"I don't wanna die"

and with a large grin and tears she replied "I want to kill you".

That was epic.

@nstgc I think you mean Fujino. Azaka is the little sister(the one with black hair). And that scene was indeed epic.

Wow, that 5th one looks to have major potential about it ;D Touko looks like she's got an even bigger part to play out in this one too.

Thx Omegadragon! U were right. Now i am going to go crazy, not only do i have to wait for the 4th but now the 5th as well! AHHHH!! =P Btw does anyone have the gist of what they are saying in the 5th trailer, my knowledge of japanese is too kindergarden (or worse) to catch any of it. It would give me a better idea of whats going to happen and that will gimme something to think about for next x amount of months until they are released :P

Edit: I doubt Shiki killed those peeps in ep 1 Nstgc. We know she has a hunger for killing now from the 3rd ep, but I wouldn't call it murder. She goes out of her way to restrain herself and seems to only go after her own kind who are already murdering others. I don't know if this hunger came about from her power or it was around before, my guess would be no. Anyway Shiki is not a psychopath, mutilating people and sowing them up in horrific ways, is something she wouldn't do. And i've always thought Kokotou was right; She knows the sadness of murder and thats what keeps her from becomeing like Fujino.

They seem to be released too quickly.
They have to release a bunch of five movies, so they are to make sure people don't loose interest half-way. Besides, the parts are under 50 minutes, and they can reuse the art, so once the first part is done, the production speeds up. It does look more like an OVA than a movie with sequels to me as well, but as long as they are confident in good box office despite the length of the movie, they can release it to the cinemas and earn extra :)

[edit]So far my grades for the parts are something like 7.0 -> 8.5 -> 7.5...[/edit]
