Anyways... funny moe character named maritan teaches the Japanese about English slang! Although the comics aren't translated all the way, the funniest parts are I think.

Most (read 99%) Dragonball (z) names were based on puns or a play on words. The original DB was meant to be more more funny, then action based. Like Bulma(bloomers=under garments) and her son trunks and daugter Bra. Goku's offspring is foodbased, etc... That is why I preach not watching American dubs. You miss shit like that.

If you like Bleach, or Naurto minus fillers, then DB + DBZ (subbed) is pretty good because it is light on fillers, yet extremely long on fight scenes. They didn't call it drag-on ball z for a reason!

But I'm from the old camp. I watched DB before it was licensed and eviscerated by dubs. Imagine Haruhi dubbed for cartoon network. How would you feel if your favorite anime was dubbed for 12 year old kids? Ick..

Well. Haruhi's already been dubbed. It's not bad. The only anime that gets castrated from dubs are the extremly long 200+ ep anime that are pwnage powerz based ones.
