KAUAN - Lumikuuro
KAUAN - Tietäjän Laulu
EMPYRIUM - Songs of Moors and Misty Fields
IN THE WOODS… - Omnio
FOREST STREAM - Tears of Mortal Solitude
FALLS OF RAUROS - Hail Wind and Hewn Oak
FALLS OF RAUROS - Into the Archaic
UARAL - Sounds of Pain
RAVENTALE - Mortal Aspirations
IN THE WOODS… - Heart of the Ages
SVAFNIR - The Heathen Chapters
PEORDH - Glaring From Spacious Woods And Mountains Of Eternal Frost
RAVENTALE - Long Passed Days
NACHTREICH - Sturmgang
EMPYRIUM - A Wintersunset…
DARKTRANCE - Beyond the Gates of Insanity
THE MORNINGSIDE - The Wind, The Trees and the Shadows of the Past
RAVENTALE - On a Crystal Swing

No trouble for me either, the list is shamelessly stolen from my friendly "Dark Metal" nutter.

I also spotted that Sunpocrisy album, though I've not given it much of a spin. Lately I've been occupied by Ever Forthright (Technical Prog Death Metal/Djent), the new Accept album and Desultor (Prog/Death/Power).

Thanks for the list. Empyrium is amazing, somehow they escape this list but I've been a fan for a few years.
 'A Wintersunset...'
'Songs Of Moors And Misty Fields'
Great metal with a 'neofolk' twist.

Kauan - Tietäjän Laulu - I listened to this album a few weeks ago and was pretty impressed, more metal 'neofolk' - it's a very interesting new genre I'm excited to see what comes of it. Will listen more closely to both albums today.

I do see 3-4 bands I haven't listened to and will be more than glad to check them out in the next few days, appreciate it!

as a side note, 'Forgotten Woods - Curse of Mankind' is a great album that I've added to my personal list as well.

Any other mathcore/djent fans around here? The former combining hardcore punk and math rock, the latter leaning to more a Prog Metal/Tech style with a "djent" guitar tone; it makes a delightful combination...

Botch (Old School Mathcore)
Dillinger Escape Plan (Post-Hardcore Mathcore)
Crydebris (Post-Rock/Post Hardcore Mathcore)
Sikth (Post-Hardcore Mathcore)
Aliases (Post-Hardcore Mathcore)
Rolo Tomassi (Jazz-Fusion-y Mathcore)

Djent:

Tesseract
Periphery
Animals As Leaders
Skyharbor
Chimp Spanner (Ambient/Prog Metal/Djent)
Cyclamen (Post-Rock/Mathcore/Djent)
Once a Wolf
Intervals
Ever Forthright

I've tried listening to a couple of metalcore bands like Converge and Botch but it's too...let's say, brutal for me. And overly mathy stuff, even math rock like Don Caballero or Battles, annoys me for some reason I can't figure out.

I do like Animals as Leaders though, and I've been meaning to listen to Tesseract and Textures.

Try Tesseract, Chimp Spanner and Skyharbor in particular. They aren't as "full on" as some of the other artists

In the past few years we've finally seen a new Italian metal band climbing the ladder of their subgenre. Those of you who dig folk metal might find Folkstone of your taste, though the singing in Italian might need some time to get used to. They are quite reminiscent of In Extremo, and it seems they are becoming quite popular in germanic countries too. Here they are unifying the whole country, attracting also listeners from non-metal folk rock genres, and there's a growing dedication for them. Part of the reason is also they are organizing and promoting metal festivals such as Foschfest in what previously was a pretty barren scenario.
And live they are simply amazing, at the last Fosch they left Korpiklaani speechless... :P

Small bunch of examples:

Alza il Corno
Nell'Alto Cadrò
Aufstand!
Anime Dannate (official video)
Un'altra Volta Ancora
Nebbie (official video from the latest album)
