Powerslave, Piece of Mind, and The Number of the Beast...those alone are 26 great songs.

Lolnope. Black Sabbath was early doom/stoner doom. By the time NWOBHM started, they had switched over to plain hard rock.

NWOBHM -> ... Motorhead, ...
Ohhhh, I totally forgot Judas Priest!!!

Nope and nope again.
Motorhead is a rock'n'rollish Hawkwind offshoot Lemmy started around 75-76, way before the wave came rolling in. Judas Priest were around as early as 72-73, playing some kind of hard rockish psychedelic thingy.
None of them were part of the NWOBHM

^ and ^^ Hmm, I guess you'll are right.
@Froody In those three albums, only about 9-10 I actually like.
You must be an Iron Maiden fan. Do you like Megadeth/Metallica?! I have noticed this weird trend among all my friends and others... People who like Maiden, somehow end up hating Metallica/Megadeth. But people who like Megadeth/Metallica hate Maiden.
Personally, am a Megadeth fan.. well, fanboy. And I find Iron Maiden a bit too unpleasant(ironic, right?!). Granted, their songs were the backbone of the current Power Metal genre, but I still somehow don't like them. I just dunno why.
All this maybe false... A person can also like all three, but can NOT hate all three. It's just not "Metal".
NWOBHM: Am not sure anymore. It seems, my history has gone a bit haywire.
OMG! I just realised, NWOBHM started AFTER the DECLINE of all the bands I mentioned. Am such a dumbfuck. Am so sorry...
Let me go see Sam Dunn's documentaries again! They maybe stupid, but he has done an amazing job in his first two docus.

Sam Dunn's stuff serves as an introduction but needs to be taken with a grain of salt. I remember seeing LOTS of things I would disagree with. This is actually better by a long shot.
As for NWOBHM, it's an era where us Brits would produce a lot of music in a very specific style which died out for the most part in the 80s (short of a handful keeping it alive). It's a fucking brilliant era because you can dive just about anywhere and turn up with something decent. Example:
Dark Star
Grim Reaper
Tank
Blitzkrieg
Fuck Maiden, there's still hundreds out there I haven't heard yet. Though I'll still take Maiden over any of the Big Four.
Copperstone:
Ohh Blitzkrieg and Dark Star are amazing bands!
