Kakashi did actually manage to fool Pain into that he
was dead (chapter 423/424) but it kinda looks grim
for him. Won't really know if either Kakashi or Hinata
are dead or alive until it's written explicitly.. Hinata
got some pretty good defensive moves iirc.

Wasn't the recovery time at least 1 seconds?
If so, isn't Kakashi generally faster than 1 second?

This is fucking gay, he is not of the Hyuuga clan so he shouldn't be able to see Underground attacks or Chakra masked below the Earth.

I'm glad Hinata's alive, she's barely got do anything since being defeated in the ninja exam arc at the beginning - at least in the manga, and I relish the Hyuuga-related fighting scenes.

Though he did have that other Pein that's somewhat broken, but not dead, so it's possible.

I believe they said it was a 5-8 second gap? I'll have to check it out later.
