Itachi really did spread the wealth, "giving" his power to both Naruto and Sasuke. To answer some of the questions that haven't been:
1.) Sasuke did not transplant the eyes because he could not do what Itachi wanted to do, save the village. Itachi killed off all of the Uchiha because they were planning a coup and informed Danzou and the 3rd that Sasuke would NOT be killed. The 3rd agreed to protect Sasuke, which is why after he died Itachi popped up in the village and made his presence known. Kind've a little warning to Danzou and the elders (who wanted Sasuke dead too) letting them know he could pop up whenever he wanted and there was nothing they could do about it. Also, he could take out one of your top ninjas (Kakashi) in under a second. Sasuke, who is driven by revenge in every aspect of the word, took his brother's sacrifice and wants to kill Danzou and the elders (as well as the rest of the village). Therefore, he felt he could not see the world through his brother's eyes. He didn't want to disrespect Itachi by using his eyes to destroy what he wanted to protect.
2.) I believe they buried the fist weapons with Asuma.
3.) Itachi transferred the last of his power into Sasuke, effectively killing himself. His goal in the fight was to max out Sasuke's chakra so the suppressed Orochimaru would appear, kill him so Sasuke would be freed of it, show him all 3 techniques of M.S. so he can understand them, and then die. Itachi, to his credit, did all 3 while sick and missing some of his own chakra (the chakra he gave to Naruto).
