I'm weak and hypocritical >_< (everyone knows why when having read the comments in one of the offers of this movie) I couldn't wait any longer and grabbed CGi's. First of all, awesome movie! Recap my ass, they totally changed the plot!
Though I must say changing the premise from Galaxy's greed to suspicion that Frontier might be evil needs getting used to it if one has watched and loved the series. It was, at times, confusing. I still don't know if I should think of the Galaxy as being good and all... especially after seeing the preview for the next movie.
Some minor events/scenes in the movie are hard to understand imo when one hasn't watched the show.
But one thing is unmistakable!
Sheryl Nome is hawt! Especially in this movie! The outfits at the concerts... RAWR! I knew it was right to want an avatar with her after the series :3
I am pondering if they decided to divide the story of the series in two movies as the preview has quite familiar scenes but maybe that's just their intention, to confuse us...
CGI was nice as always, especially the final battle at the end. One could sometimes see that they reused some scenes from the series when you have watched the 1080p version but that is acceptable as they aren't the majority of scenes in the movie. Actually there's a lot of new material in there.
The /m/ subs are decent, barely imo. But I'm generally over critical... The most prominent mistake is the inability to distinguish between
it's and
its. Furthermore that possessive pronoun is wrong anyway. Ships are female so it had to be
her. Other mistakes were wrong prepositions used with certain verbs that are to be used with prepositions to convey the intended meaning. To conclude: I keep waiting for other groups to sub this so that I can rewatch it :3
