I avoided gg at start because it lagged horribly on my old p4 2.8, now i got a new comp and i watch wathever comes out first, still there was one episode really badly translated from some unknown subbers..

Well back to the show i liked it, it was entertaining and good animation, the music was good and the story interesting, not as good as macross zero or plus but far better than macross 7 wich I hated completely. Made me lose my faith in mechas for quite awhile..

A movie has been announced (summer 2009 IIRC), but no news of season 2 yet.

the movie is just a re-telling of the series, typical, but worth a watch to see how good the graphics were done his time.

No you don't. It can definitely be watched as a stand-alone show.

Waited a very long time for Blu-ray, pushed it back after I got it, now I am watching it. The graphics have completely dropped my jaws. Superb animation! Freaking awesome!

I'm new to Macross series. Is this a related to any of the other Macross stuff out there? I only seen Macross Zero (that one was also good!).

Ranka Lee is where it's at... I didn't particularly like her in the show all that much, but her singing voice is >>> Sheryl's ... (Megumi Nakajima > May'n) BUT don't get me wrong. May'n is amazing too. Proof:

I think I decided on Sherly. Her hair is very colorful, adult and mature body. Now if only the people who are seeding the .flac songs can seed faster. I want to listen to the songs.

They've done one hell of a job on this series. The animation and graphics are so jaw-dropping. And for Sherly, comparing her to all the anime characters I've seen. She's got the best artistic hair I've yet to see. The color, depths and how they mixed it rather very ... very well.

Sherly did have awesome hair. It's a shame Ranka got stuck with those weird floppy dog ear things. As for who's singing voice I like better... I prefer them both together! My favorite song in the whole series was when the two of them basically song-raped Alto together. There is a track on the OST that I think is supposed to be it... although it isn't exactly the same...

Edit -- Season one?!!? So there is going to be a SECOND season for this? What the helll! What's taking them so long. I shouldn't have watched this. Arggggggghh. And I'm on episode 7, every episode is so freaking amazing. I love this show.
