4-5 hours to go at work till I get home. I can't believe Sheryl's panties was the spotlight in episode 7, it was so hilarious! Haha. I didn't finish the episode yet.

So it seems like Macross series does follow through only with what occured in other Macross series. But, those older series have nothing to do with the new one. The same thing for older ones. I only seen Macross: Do you remember Love? (or something), Macross Zero, and I'm watching Macross Frontier. My favorite, is of course, the newest one. Dazzaling graphics, awesome characters, bad ass action and I loooooovee the songs! I love it when they merge the song themes (like Sheryl's singing) while the team is fighting. Gah, reminds me with Gundam Seed DESTINY, only GS-Destiny failed at grasping so many things that Macross Zero is doing.

I didn't really care for Ranka Either, but I think her character was done very well. And i think she added a lot to the series. You will see what i mean when you finish the whole thing. I'm just not a fan of the whole little girl image thing.

I'm a little late on this, but I started watching the series today and am now on episode 7. I haven't been this interested in an anime series since Toradora & School Days at the beginning of summer. I can't pretend to know anything only being 6 episodes in, but I really like Ranka. I'm more concerned with Sheryl (or however you spell it). She seems a little like a two faced monster. One minute being all bitchy and the next minute being loving. Anyways, I'm digging the amount of music in this series so far. I may end up marathoning this tomorrow if I don't get too tired (running on about 2 hours of sleep in three days right now).

I've never seen a Macross show before this. All I can really say is, Macross Frontier is indeed excellent. One of my favs of 08'. I didn't really care for Ranka, because towards the middle of the show, she turns all emo... But man, she has an amazing voice. (Megumi Nakajima). She sorta redeems hereself at the end though. So most is forgiven

Also, I don't really care for mecha's or space anime too much. So for something like this to get praise from me is pretty rare. 2 thumbs up

I'm a pretty big Macross fan (well, of the good Macross series at least) and this was the best of them all. The music and singing was the best I've ever heard and the animation was among the top two or three I've seen. I liked both Ranka and Sheryl a lot. I prefer Ranka's voice (slightly)... but Sheryl is more my type

Only had two gripes about the series. Yes, these are huge spoilers, so don't read unless you've finished!

If it wasn't for those two things, this would've easily been in my top 5. But it's still good enough to be at the bottom of my top 10

Yeah, one of Ranka's best features is certainly her voice. I can't wait for Nakajima Megumi to be in more shows. I'm so glad she got the role despite being a new seiyuu.

I'm quite fond of Sheryl as well, but Ranka is absolutely better.

And Ranka does have a good voice, a clean one. But, I prefer Sheryl's over her.

The first was the death of the coolest character in the series, Michel. I was so incredibly pissed when he died. Gah.

And the other, which bugs me most of all... is how pathetic of a man Alto was. He didn't even make a pass at EITHER of the chicks. I seriously wonder if he's gay or not. I mean, the he has two hot singers fawning all over him and he shies away like he's scared! Damnit dude, grow a backbone and hook up with one of them already!

If it wasn't for those two things, this would've easily been in my top 5. But it's still good enough to be at the bottom of my top 10 Great series.

Alright, apparently fucking THORA failed to grab some additional files I am gathering from TT's database. Like the opening and ending songs. I'm also seeing TWO different first episodes, one "uncultured" and one "cultured" ... does THORA have the longer version? I believe the cultured is the "extended" version, similar to the last episode (25). I'm just freaking pissed off, but it's all good. Hopefully I can get the new connection installed tomorrow. I'm going to grab as many of those blu-ray files (with the missing files I'm looking for). I need to get 2-3 internal HDD's soon, I still have space inside.

Similar to Memories and Melodies opening and ending themes (separated files that is). Plus, any extras, which I'm sure they should have something.
