Damnit. That trailer confirms my fears. A low budget B movie that reminds me of Mortal Kombat... I like martial arts flicks on occasion anyhow, so I'll probably end up watching it.

A real dbz movie would have to be made using this recipe =
20 mins on plotline (This is above normal cuz we have peeps who've never seen it before =P Normally 5-10 max on plot)
30 mins on main battle
all remaining time on Goku's powering up or ultra super kamehameha

Someone remind me why we need a live action? We already have like 13 dbz movies already, fusion reborn is the best naturally.

The Japanese did release a few live action versions, don't think you want to see them however.

I'm getting the feeling I got when FoX made I, Robot - in that, Asimov's I, Robot had nothing to do with that movie.

If it turns out to be a corny waste of time, I'd still watch it on video - I watch lots of of hackneyed movies anyways and I never liked Dragon Ball to begin with, so I won't have my soul crushed.

That's assuming Dragon Ball won't be a product placement vehicle, there seems to be some kind of domestic situation involved in which plenty of logos can be jammed in.

Ya'know, I could accept a caucasian Goku, even if it goes against good taste and logic - that's if he can do the physical stuff well - since Dragon Ball doesn't exactly require much of its characters.

Apparently I'm the only one who thought i, Robot was a great movie. Hell, I liked the damned thing so much it was my first Blu Ray movie that I purchased.....and it's still the best looking movie I own. The product placement didn't really bother me that much either, probably because my degree is in marketing.....and I've seen far worse as well.
