Wow, I thought there might've been at least some shallow mindless entertainment involved like with lots of other action b-movies which appeal to younger audiences, apparently it doesn't even have that - I don't understand why movies like this are made, they must know it's going to flop after everyone calls it the lowest of the low.

I mean, why don't they have people critically examine their own movies before releasing them? I get people to edit my essays before submitting them, it can't be that hard for a major production company to look at scripts before financing them.

The movie is a major side tracker.I advise those who never watch the Dragonball series to not watch this movie as it will give you the wrong storyline of Dragonball.Watch the Anime first then the movie and you'll know how this movie suck.Shame on you Ben Ramsey.At least Dragonball: The Magic Begins preserve the main storyline.

Even the commercials that are airing now make me shake my head, Goku wearing a leather jacket and being in a high school opening his locker doesn't look right at all.

Yeah.The time of Dragonball is supposed to be around the era of the 24th century where traveling to space is convenient.

Somehow Tony Hawk got grafted into the Dragonball movie promotions. :/

This is the typical thoughtless garbage that deludes the minds of countless unsuspecting children and deforms their perspective on life.
It's the standard Hollywood bullshit storyline:

-He gets picked on by some bullshit unrealistic "jocks". This helps reinforce poor discernment skills in real life and teaches children to stop thinking and start stereotyping.

-He sees a girl he likes and the movie proceeds to treat her like a trophy rather than a person. Millions of little boys who watch the movie proceed to spend the rest of their lives looking at women in just the same way.

-He discovers his imba strength. Millions of little boys spend their lives waiting for their strength to suddenly blossom rather than learning to gradually overcome their weaknesses through hard work and diligence.

-He one-ups the "jocks" by acting like a total dick and flaunting his power. Millions of little boys proceed to begin acting like arrogant weakling shit and conclude that anyone that shows an ounce of manhood is one of the "bad guys" in the movie of life.

-The trophy sees Goku acting like a dick and makes the faulty conclusion he actually has one. Millions of little unattractive boys who's only hope at a woman is their personality are ruined when they are taught to try and act cool in front of the girl they like rather than simply being themselves.

I know the Disney channel is a thorn in humanity's side but I really thought the rest of society might be advancing just a little bit and at the very least changing if not improving. Oh well

And it totally misses his character. Goku has a childlike innocence, and is very naive, which made for some super hilarious moments in both Dragonball, and Z . Even when he was an adult he was still like that. Remember when he and Piccolo were trying to learn how to drive?

Making him fight jocks and stuff is really really stupid.

Well I have seen the movie,and it not so bad. Yes it not based on the manga to much, but it still has that Dragonball feeling.

Also the women that plays Chi-Chi in the movie is a old school fan of Dragonball, so you can see that trying her best to save it.

I watched bits and pieces of it when my (idiot) brother streamed it and watched in on my PS3.....and from what I saw, I wanted to gouge my eyes out. How he managed to watch the whole thing still amazes me.

While we are on the topic of Chi Chi, WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO HER!? isnt she supposed to be really good at martial arts and have that crazy fucking armor with the blade on the helmet that she tends to chuck at people? this is SUPPOSED to be the original Dragonball, right?

True, In Dragonball she has the armor until she 16 year old, and then she takes it off. But on a side note the outfit she wears in the tournament's grounds. Is the same outfit she where at the end of Dragonball.

Head blades aren't allowed in American high schools of course. But they shouldn't be in high school to begin with.

Really though the most disappointing part of the whole thing is that Roshi isn't a crazy old pervert in this "Evolution".
