1. Fox does nearly every movie you see >.>.. even the ones who scored big time, so that makes this statement..i dont know stupid?
2. The director makes the movie, considering its James Wong, a decent director. The cast does the work, Most of the cast have been in several movies that were decent to successfull.
So again, you have nothing to bash this movie for atm. If you dont like several actors, then bash them but not an entire movie they are in.

Your counter-statment fails because:
1.Fox is the 4Kids of movies companies They butcher movies
2. The director chooses how to film the movie, it's the acting and to the lesser extent, the Editor that makes the movie.
3. Fox being part of something is too vague. Roles: As an Distributor, Fox has done nothing less than magic with what they help Distribute, BUT when Fox enters Production.... they simply are whoreable... misspelling intended.
Because the incorrect cast... this will fail
Because 4Fox is part of this... this will fail
Because Hollywood can't cast the dream cast that's been floating around on the Net for years... this will fail.

Be clearer with the usage of fox then, Cuz fox can also be related to Twentieth Century Fox, they dont butcher movies. they publish.
Besides do you even have a slight idea who those actors are? Cuz i seriously doubt you do.

And actor in his normal clothing. Thats a scene where goku is on his way too school.

Yeah okay, but the girl could still use a better pose imo
and i dont think that normal clothing photo is the going to school scene, considering he should be wearing his orange fighting outfit even then

Goku is the son who runs into the explosions in the god awful Spielberg film, War of the Worlds.
Bulma is the hot girl from The Day After Tomorrow and Phantom of the Opera.
Piccolo is Spike from the tv series Angel.
Master Roshi is Chow Yun-fat who is from more movies than I'd like to list here, hes an action star.
I don't really feel like going on because already, besides Bulma, Chi Chi and Mai, I hate the cast.
Whoever did the casting is clearly mildly retarded. They should have gone with an all asian cast OR like someone else said, did the CGI thing like the Final Fantasy movies.
AnimeFreak28:
Mods, please lock this before I turn this into a boarder line flame war with IceRiccy, cause it's about there.
You have a relatively young cast list, which I guess is a good thing. Means that you have a fresh faces, unknowns and not Tom Cruise playing Yamcha and say Ben Affleck playing Tien and what not, it would make the budget for the movie through the roof if high profile celebs were to play in this. But WOW. This cast that's on IMDB blows chunks. It's like they had a lottery and picked them out randomly.
The only people that would fit their roles and were picked properly are Joon Park (Yamcha) Yun-Fat Chow (Master Roshi) Eriko Tamura (Mai) and Jamie Chung (Chi-Chi)
The rest were simply miscasted.
Randall Duk Kim (Grandpa Gohan) Might pull it off with makeup, but Grandpa was rounder, shorter.
Justin Chatwin (Goku) Too much fail to even explain. It will be a miracle if he turns out to even be good.
Emmy Rossum (Bulma) She sure looks hot, but I'll atleast give her a chance.
Eriko Tamura ( Mai) Mai has blue eyes.... small change with CGI >_>
And of course, this is Hollywood, so their gonna screw this up with characters that weren't even in the Dragonball universe:
Teto, Carey
This is almost the CORRECT cast that SHOULD of been casted
With the exception that the pic is for a DBZ movie, the people in there for the roles for the main characters of DB is almost dead on correct. I still think my 1st post of Jet Lee as Vegeta, Jackie Chan as Master Roshi, and Robin Shou as Goku would be correct as well.
You keep defending 4Fox and how they won't screw this up. Their either already done with the main CGI work or their going to spend a few months filming and the rest of the time in the graphics department, cause it's the ONLY way this will get anything over a 25% on Rotten Tomatoes.

"The setting of Dragon Ball has a sort of Chinese feel to it, but it's not necessarily China. Exactly where it takes place is uncertain. The overall story is very simple, but I'd like to keep making up more details and illustrations as I go along. This way, I can draw anything I want to and enjoy the tension and excitement of figuring out what I'll draw next. — Akira Toriyama"
Who cares where the cast is from ... give the movie a chance. Trailer hasn't even been released and already you guys are judging a book by its cover even if most live actions turn out to be crap. Typical!
edited: Renamed thread title to an appropriate one and also behave don't start a flame war, keep it civilized.

Because it's Hollywood and we've seen how they turn classics into complete crap. Time and time again, changing things WAY too much or not putting things in that was in the anime/video game.
We expect too much from Hollywood I guess. When you have access to huge budgets, it's your responsibility to do a good job.
It happens under certain circumstances; a dream cast, an awesome director like Peter Jackson and what he did with Lord of the Rings, even if he didn't go by the book 100% it was close enough.
If I had the time, I'd add to why this movie will fail. The people that did the casting should be shot.... enough said.
