i think this one will end up being the best.

i watched it an as a DB fan i enjoyed it. however that link is the dubed version and i don't like how they translated their names.

Goku = Monkey Boy
Yamcha = West Wood
and more...

it really ain't that bad but theres a scene missing.

You have a relatively young cast list, which I guess is a good thing. Means that you have a fresh faces, unknowns and not Tom Cruise playing Yamcha and say Ben Affleck playing Tien and what not, it would make the budget for the movie through the roof if high profile celebs were to play in this. But WOW. This cast that's on IMDB blows chunks. It's like they had a lottery and picked them out randomly.

The only people that would fit their roles and were picked properly are Joon Park (Yamcha) Yun-Fat Chow (Master Roshi) Eriko Tamura (Mai) and Jamie Chung (Chi-Chi)

The rest were simply miscasted.

Randall Duk Kim (Grandpa Gohan) Might pull it off with makeup, but Grandpa was rounder, shorter.
Justin Chatwin (Goku) Too much fail to even explain. It will be a miracle if he turns out to even be good.
Emmy Rossum (Bulma) She sure looks hot, but I'll atleast give her a chance.
Eriko Tamura ( Mai) Mai has blue eyes.... small change with CGI >_>


And of course, this is Hollywood, so their gonna screw this up with characters that weren't even in the Dragonball universe:
Teto, Carey

This is almost the CORRECT cast that SHOULD of been casted
With the exception that the pic is for a DBZ movie, the people in there for the roles for the main characters of DB is almost dead on correct. I still think my 1st post of Jet Lee as Vegeta, Jackie Chan as Master Roshi, and Robin Shou as Goku would be correct as well.



You keep defending 4Fox and how they won't screw this up. Their either already done with the main CGI work or their going to spend a few months filming and the rest of the time in the graphics department, cause it's the ONLY way this will get anything over a 25% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Morita died on November 24, 2005 at the age of 73 at his home in Las Vegas. Morita was buried at Palm Green Valley Mortuary and Cemetery. Surviving him is his wife of 12 years, Evelyn Morita, and 3 children.

Live-Action Dragonball Film Wraps Shooting in Mexico

he personal blog of actress Emmy Rossum confirms that principal photography on James Wong's live-action Dragonball movie ended in Mexico on Friday. Rossum plays the heroine Bulma in this adaptation of Akira Toriyama's fighting manga. The official website of James Marsters (Piccolo) had announced his work wrapped in mid-March, but he left earlier than Rossum to attend a Buffy the Vampire Slayer Reunion in Los Angeles on Thursday evening. Twentieth Century Fox initially scheduled the film for an August 15 opening, but it has reportedly delayed the opening.

ah....so after having a laugh and getting over the WTF where they thinking...

i don't think i would want to watch the live action even if i was blind.
who the hell is playing goku? and especially pikalo <however you spell that dudes name>

i am so disappointed in how they picked the cast.
taking a great anime, a CLASSIC anime and turning it into a joke..

and wtf? i mean i agree with some of the people up on that chart, but then leonardo for trunks? I DON"T BLOODY THINK SO...

Most live action movies from anime have been done in asian countries which simply dont have budgets like american movies.
So its fucking stupid to make a broad statement like that, lets not forget that lack of massive budgets is why anime became and maintained its popularity in asia.

however it still doesn't make me change my mind, i refuse to accept leonardo as Trunks even if he was casted.

IMO I think the only reason Leo was "hoped" for the trunks role is the hairstyle. That's it.

The person playing Chi Chi is damn hot though.... doesn't seem to fit the role. Maybe for the android... but not as Chi Chi. The guy playing Picollo... He has the jaw... But unless he can pull off a good scowl with his face and eyes... it's not going to look Good.

And goku... goku goku goku... I saw that one pic and thought, "Gohan?" Maybe it's the super short hair... I don't know... but that doesn't look like Goku.
