Spice and Wolf

I want another season too... Horo is so cute...
Plus, I can also find out ways to bargain with people and take their moneys.

The market in Japan is different. A show that is popular with the 16+ crowd can easily make it big (see lucky star) They have channels which are saturated with anime intended for adults similar to American shows like adult swim. If I recall correctly, Haruhi was aired after 10pm. (not to sure, but heard this was case. I don't live in Japan)

I'm not looking forward to the end however. Its pretty obvious how this story will end, and I don't like those kinds of endings (the "I love you, but I'm going to disappear now" kind).

Don't worry. I think you'll find the ending will leave u feeling satisfied.

Yeah, the Good Lord has bestowed the blessing of a non-terminal ending. I was expecting them to reach the north but for some reason has to use up the last of the wheat. I suppose I can expect more from this. It was excellent. The execution and the basis were both well above average. The basis itself isn't special, but the way it was executed was very unique.

Naruto, Pokemon & others are rather cheap shows which, despite that, are extremely popular and bring you lots of money because of that. Spice and Wolf not only based on novels, which naturally limits how far you can extend the series, but also has quite a high level of detalization and requires careful directing and script writing. Together with good graphics, sound and seiyu cast, it makes show expensive, but is it all that popular? I guess it's unlikely that crowds of 12-years old kids are going to watch it :)
I still hope to see a sequel, but I don't think the show is going to go past 26 episodes...

Hmm, just gimme a second series with another 12 eps or something. I checked up on the novals, theres 8 of them and i think we only covered mostly vol 1 and little bit of 2. Plenty of story to work with for a second season ;D

The demographic group that is most likely to contribute funds to anything is not the pokemon-aged group. Adults have more money and tend to be larger spenders then children. As a result I would expect commercials during these shows to pay more and also, while the number of viewers may be lower, the number of viewers willing to spend is higher.
So popularity isn't the only thing to consider.
