I've only seen the late night version. I can't imagine what they would feel the need to cut out.

I always thought the show was naturally uncut, but maybe there are some gore scenes they hold back on.

Oh, so im not the only person watching the series ;D I've recently finished the manga and the anime really does follow it that closely. For whoever asked the question about the ep with excalibur the frist one was in the manga, but the second one is a filler ep. Hopefully that will be the last of them cuz i don't like excalibur and his filler bs tbh. But after reading the manga i've also started to lose interest in the anime. There's nothing outstanding about it or the storyline and it's very slow to develope as time goes by.

I keep on watching this one. The story line is eh and so is the pace. But i love the way its drawn and the background. Things like the sun and the outragouse drawing of the buildings give it added charater that you dont see much. I willl watch this one all the way through.

the anime i find to be surprisingly good, with some slow points in it like when a crisis happens and the action is broken up between a couple episodes when it could really be done in one. but its nothin like dbz so thank god for that.

excalibur just seems so useless to toss into it, except as fillers for when the writers don't want to do much. so i could see it happening again just cause thats the filler. and now it just seems like filler again, after what happened in ep 24

I enjoyed alot the first episodes, i loved the fluid action scenes and funny characters, i never read the manga so i actually enjoyed the excalibur episodes, wouldnt even figure it was filler if it wasnt mentioned, still the last episodes are a bit slower and as soon as

I am following this one. I always avoided series with more than 51 episodes ("Monster" excluded), since I hate ones like Naruto and Bleach. And since Bones put up some helluva animes in last couple of years, i agreed with fights broken over certain number of episodes since they limited the anime to 51 episodes. Otherwise I would have spirit to follow it trough. :D

And to quote someone on AniDB, " Bones is on the roll again!"

I watched a bunch of eps near the 10th ep mark at a friend's place. The animation is pretty, but I get weird vibes from this show. It's like... something I've seen before... like shaman king rolled in with... something else... like one piece and some little tidbits of other random shows here and there.

No... more like Shaman King fused with Inuyasha and certain parts of naruto. (Sasuke's beaver thing comes to mind for the Fay/Fey Blade part?)

Reviving the thread from the dead beacuse I know how to use the search function.  Go me º¿º

So, I just painfully finished this series.  And by that I mean I was putting it off and putting it off till I finally said, I should finish this if nothing more then to just say I did watch it.  So these are my thoughts hidden by spoilers, one to save space, and two for the obvious reasons...

In Conclusion it is worth a watch, but you aren't missing anything if you skip it in my opinion.  A good waste of time but that's about it.
I have typed these words and you have been forced to read them.  Now you can go cry in the corner if you like :)

I liked the way you summed everything up, but overall the ending was "Weak Sauce".

No argument there. I was just pointing out that it DOES make sense. That does not change the fact that it IS lame. Also, Kid and BlackStar got their asses handed to them, and could hardly move....until Ashira was defeted. Then they were fine. It was like "Oh, Maka won...we can get up now" or "I knew that if we fake defeat she will defeat him for us".

BTW, I would have LOVED a proper battle with Excalibur. He kicks major ass when he's serious. He's like Xellos from Slayers: goofy, crazy and does his best to annoy you...but if he's ever serious, you are fucked.

I agree pretty much with alot of the above. It had the potential to become great but tried to do too much making the plot (plots)appear rushed.I liked excalibur though.

What's wrong with you people?  Excalibur episodes were the worst.  I wanted to shoot the people that added the later fillers using Excalibur.  Naruto fillers didn't get me near as upset, though IMO had the same mentality.  Oh well, I shouldn't be surprised, since some people did enjoy Naruto fillers too ;)
