something i rendered using xyresic's background eraser thingy. mind = blown

(click to show/hide)

Pretty cool tool desu yo ne?

(Although I don't really see translucent regions in your render, why'd you use the background eraser? O_o)

the tips of their hair were a pain to render. your background eraser saved the day.

how about making a dark sparkly thingy, you know, instead of bright sparkles use dark spots or something like that, something like dark matter :)

it will still involve hight contrast colours and I don't really like that.
But might try that some day again, maybe something better then what happened previously will happen

Uhm...

I would recommend using the pen tool for such work, not the background eraser.

The background eraser can only be suitable for rendering transparent/translucent elements in a image, not completely opaque stuff. If you look closely at the tip of the hair, you'll actually notice a slight change of color where you used the background eraser. This is because while that part is opaque, the background eraser is designed to remove pretty much all elements of color in its brush area, and the hair did have some white hues (I'm assuming that's the background color) which the background eraser erased.

XD, i was just experimenting, really. though it does do wonders for stuff like animal fur or scarf fluffs or whatever you call those. unless you have other tricks up your sleeve for those.

If anyone wants sets from me let me know. I'm open for two projects (two people that means) only. I have limited amount of time.
I don't think anyone took Tatsu up on this. If the offer is still open you want to have some fun set making I would be glad to wear it.

Same again applies as last time I suppose. Probably the style that is similar to this one. Your Zone of Enders/Panty & Stocking stuff is not my cup of tea. And just an ecchi set of any character you want to do it of.

If I had a choice then I would say an NGE Mari set similar to this would be great for a rotation. That way I can keep this one in the loop and wear the new one.

By Photoshop 2 you mean Photoshop CS2, and not Photoshop v2.0, then yes, should be a background eraser in PS2.

@Kyrdua

Example images? I'll see what tricks I can cook up V:

@ xyresic, rendering fur and other stuff that are normally impossible to render with pen tool.

example. this kitty here
(click to show/hide)

rendered using bg eraser(partial, since the bottom of the kitty is barely distinguishable from the floor to me)

(click to show/hide)

another one i rendered with bg eraser (scarf)
(click to show/hide)
orig
(click to show/hide)

note that i don't have much memory in my dropbox, so you might wanna mirror/reup those elsewhere.

Okay, let me finish up Evangelion 2.22 first. It'll be done whenever it's perfected.

I think my signature sucks compared to everyone else on here. But I'm still in love with my Avatar. My sister made them both for me years ago and I still use them til this day.

I would like to spruce my signature up a bit but don't know how to use photo editing software or anything like that.

So if I have any takers... That would be cool. I have an idea of what I want. But I'm open to suggestions for a new sig. Anyone?

^Buddy, you can't just say "make a sig please" because it's toooo broad a request.
At the bare minimum we'd need a character or at least a title of an anime.

I might be able to make a simple one (better than your current one), maybe tomorrow. But as BrownMaster said, you'll have to specify a character.

Sorry about that. I wanted something from Samurai Deeper Kyo. Maybe like a split between Kyo and Kyoshiro. If you aren't familiar with that manga/anime... let me know and I'll explain. :)

I would appreciate if anyone could do it. If not, it's no big deal.
