I appreciate the help, I don't even have Photoshop

but I do have RealWorld Paint and GIMP (primarily use RWP)

I have no idea how to operate these programs
tried playing with gimp but it was even bigger disaster comparing to what comes out when I play with photoshop....

finished watching a boring move ( do not watch movie called Naga) and tried at making something else Birdy and it failed again.

I kind of like how that orange lines look on first one, looks something like centipede

figured i try tatsujin style cuts for once. he really owns the style, i can't do it as good as he can.

anyway, if anyone's bored help me find good pics Sakura Kyouko (solo, as much as possible). got hooked to madoka and i really like Kyouko.

really huh? thanks. "you can see something" because it's far too tall for me to add layers and layers of effects.
it will just look odd so i settled for text. in tatsu's original style i think he obscures everything but the character's face to emphasize the character and add "background". or at least that's how i see it.

It still makes my eyes hurt, way to bright. I think Tetsu do not make so painful signs thou they do still have this kind of brightness.
What I mean by "you can see something" is that the cut out is made so that there are actually something to look at, not a strip of bright pixels that was something before it was cut out. You actually made a proportional cut out so that the render you used can be seen. Most of the time I do not even notice the render in Tetsu's works. My like seeing stuff....

p.s. I do think I have some kind of eye infection, my eyes tier up way to easily lately....

oh, that. thanks for clarifying. as for your eye infection... get computer glasses? i use a pair and i've never experienced getting tired over seeing an image, though mine just doubles as one because it's main purpose is to correct my myopia.

Ruined my vision as a kid reading books in street light when I was supposed to sleeping

It is infection

But I do hate eye doctors, they have all these scary torture machines in their office.

Birdy - is comedy and ecchi and action...well it is really entertaining

@ TiYlER - I added ones with shadow and your nickname as well. My kind of like the one with shadows better

and I do like the centipede stuff.....

Birdy Cephon is from a series called "Birdy The Mighty". It started off as a manga back in the 80s, never finished, then redone. It had an OAV made in 1996. Then an anime series in 2008 that spawned a sequel in 2009. I watched the anime series (Birdy the Mighty DECODE, DECODE 2) and thought they were great!

On another note, the pics of birdy I have found (which is not that great of a selection) are not what i'm lookin for. I have decided to try and draw the main focus image for the sig. I might not get around to it tonight, but I will eventually.

For the text, use Blend Mode or use Blending Options > Stroke (choose the color you want) and use Blend Mode on it. Make sure the texture is Inside, not Outside. I hope this helps. This is related to PhotoShop. I don't know anything about GIMP or graphic programs and their settings. You can also duplicate your text and try different Blend Mode style.
