juggen:
Since when did Amatsuki get dropped, I gotta ask u then?
Ureshii is still doing it and I don't think they plan on dropping it, they just aren't as fast as DB especially since they don't suck as much as them.

i've got amatsuki sitting in my stall harddrive, finished series. i only download/watch finished series. so ... lol, i'd say no.

As for rushing on subbing an episode, lets worry about the name first and getting together to talk things out. I don't like posting via forums, it'd be much easier if we can set up two days out of the week to have a small meeting and brief each other, etc.

Hanako:
AceHigh brought up a good point, we haven't yet discussed release formats.

I think MKV/ASS/h.264/AAC is pretty much accepted as the latest standard these days.  We won't be releasing any HD with old Anime, so playing h.264 @ 640x480 shouldn't be a problem even for people with older systems.  We could also include srt subs for the older comps.

MKV is the most flexible and feature packed container along with soft subs that can be styled and turned on and off.

If there is enough of a demand we could also release in AVI hard subbed, although I don't see a reason aside from burning the release to a DVD.  In that case, the file would have to be converted anyways, and there are programs that work with soft sub mkv files.  I suppose there are the standalone Divx players too...

Thoughts anyone?

psyren:
.ass isn't too strenuous on older PCs unless you put in special effects (like karaoke or dynamic resizing) into the .ass files themselves instead of hard-coding them.

Secondly, we will release how we want to. Not how the leechers want us to. This is for 2 reasons:
1) We let the leechers know who's boss.
2) We save the encoder a lot of time/money/brain cells.

Blanchimont:
What kind of material?

Stuff only released in R2/unsubbed/ripped previously?
Older dropped projects?

What kind of sources?
