10 Worst Video Game Sequels Ever

There is neverwinter nights, Neverwinter Nights: Shadows of Undrentide, Neverwinter Nights: Hordes of the Underdark, Neverwinter Nights 2 and Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer. There are also some minor add-ons like Kingmaker.

Then you can't compare nwn 2 and the baldur's gate/icewind dale games fairly, the old ones are simply so much better.

All of the major add-ons are longer than many games that get released now a days.

To be honest I didn't like NWN 2nd expansion and NWN2 expansion. They are great for multi, but storyline sucks there.

Still for some reason I liked NWN2 more then the first one.... I guess my own stronghold was just a too awesome feature.

Driv3r was a truly horrible game..I don't think I even finished it because it sucked so much.

I liked it, one of the best GTA clones I have played.


Prince of Persia 2 should be on the list

Legend of Legaia (ps1) (and it's sequels)...

I like most rpgs, but that one, I wish I could forget

Vandal Hearts 1 (ps1) was a nice game
.but the sequel (Vandal Hearts 2).....

I'm not sure if others agree, but that was just plain ugly.
Even the decent story couldn't make it bearable...
(perhaps someone prefers characters/graphics like that, but that's beyond me...)

I remember darkreign 2 was kinda cool. But it was overshadowed by many blizzard games. Blizz sequels aren't bad imo. some of the few good ones.

because there are only 2 NWN games: 1 and 2. And IMO 2nd is the best one.

There are also the expansions, which are almost like separate games in terms of size.

IMHO NWN2 Expansion > 2nd NWN Expansion > NWN2 > NWN 1st expansion > NWN

That list was weak and why is Duke Nukem Forever there, wtf? Not only are those Duke Nukem Never jokes really worn-out, that was really a wrong place for one. Never played any of those games and never heard of most of them...

I can't think of any really sucky sequels, probably because I've forgotten about them or just never played them, but some games that sucked as sequels but may still have been decent games:

Doom³
Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun
UT2003 (the first one after the original)
One Must Fall: Battlegrounds
everything GTA after it went 3D
and a couple of sequels I've never played but (or because) I heard they weren't really good: Carmageddon TDR2000 and Neverwinter Nights 2

Doom 3 was SUPPOSED to be scary... but it didnt scare me. Some of it was suprising though. I recall chasing some monster into a dark corner and I couldn't see it. So i shot into the corner... no blood... walked over to check and it jumped out at me. That suprised me... lol. But that was the only time.

C&C Tiberian Sun wasnt so bad, it was Generals that was a total flop.

Sure, Generals had nothing to do with any of the earlier C&C games but I thought it was the most fun C&C ever. C&C 3 was also kind of disappointing but there's hoping Red Alert 3 will be fun. I always did enjoy the RA series more than the Tiberian series. The real flop was probably C&C Renegade although I didn't think it was that bad either.

Yeah I didnt care for renegade either. The Red alert series was good. Im sure you heard that if you buy the C&C3 expansion pack (Kane's Wrath) you get a key for the Red Alert 3 Beta this summer.

Driv3r did suck extremely bad and if anyone doesn't think so, then they've either never played GTA, or are on crack. I played Driv3r the day before I got GTA4 to see if it was even slightly close to GTA San Andreas, and it sucked. BIG TIME. The main character just pissed me off. I think the best GTA clone I ever played was Saints Row. It actually surprised me because it was better than I expected it to be.

ToeJam & Earl in Panic on Funkotron  and ToeJam & Earl III: Mission to Earth  GODDAMIT did they fuck that up.
The first ToeJam & Eal game is a gem one of my favorite games for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis .
I still play it on the Wii (VC) with friends.

Rampage was fun... I played it all the time as a kid, just destroying buildings and such. also, twisted metal was fun too. well, it wasn't great. but not bad.

agreed that FF X-2 was complete crap. I remember an entire chapter was spying on people through the freaking sphere. Just looking through the ball for like 7 damn hours. And the battle system in that game was WTF. It was more like a dress-up game than an rpg. You don't even equip new items or anything, just change clothes. Or combine into a super costume that just rapes everything.
