I think they are. I've seen almost all of them. I think I've seen through 39. So "almost all" means "75%". I found it to be a very good parody, but it does start getting bland at some point. That when they start doing other stuff (don't want to spoil...as if it matters).

The first season was pretty funny, but it seemed to me it started losing steam half way through. It's still a better show than a lot of others out there though.

oh hell yea! it's one of my top favorites, you really have to watch the rest of the show. it's hilarious and unlike any other comedy show you've seen out there. grab it off from boxtorrents.com if they have it or hit tokyotosho.com

season 2 is going to be airred later on this year or next year, god i can't wait for 2nd season. <3 every second of hayate no gotoku.

Of course boxtorrents.com has it, and I know because I uploaded one version.

I also thought the show lost a bit of energy during the late 20s & early 30s episodes, but it eventually picked back up and finished strong. HnG is good as a standard romantic comedy, but it's even better if you like seeing references/parodies of other anime. It's also good if you like Rie Kugimiya, the voice actress who plays Nagi and has played several other tsundere lolis like Shana in Shakugan no Shana and Louise in Zero no Tsukaima.

Got any old fansubs on HDD/DVD/CD? Please take a look at this thread.

Yes, there is some moments where you'll feel things are getting strayed away. But you can't deny the fact that you get attached to these characters! I admit that I thought I would lost interest in the anime around early 20s and late 20s, but everytime I thought of the characters I honestly could not resist to open the next episode, sit down and watch the damn thing. Hell I turned my speakers a little loud at night and was laughing my ass so hard. My family were pissed at me so they cranked some music in the morning on the weekends, haha. 52 episodes ... were not enough sadly, I'm glad season 2 is coming soon.

I'm 2/3 through it and it's one of the best animes I've seen. I think that (roughly) the first quarter was great but then it lost some momentum but picked up again around halfway. Even the slow episodes were far from unwatchable. The whole show is like a steamroller of fun (especially if you get the references) - I think I've laughed out loud during every episode, usually several times. Making me laugh more than Lucky Star did really is quite an achievement.

It's not only Nagi's seiyuu that's awesome - they all are! I don't think I've seen that much amazing voice acting in one anime before. My favourites are actually Hayate and the narrator. And I love the OP/ED songs by I've!

Did I mention Hayate no Gotoku is awesome and made of win and that everyone needs to watch it?
Nope, there's still nothing here.

KOTOKO <33 ~ I've got the first album for Hayate no Gotoku, I got her first debut in 2004 Christmas in Tokyo, and got like over 120+ of KOTOKO's songs. I'm a big fan of her and MELL. Both are awesome singers ~

Usually I would apply the 52 episode rule to a series - where when a series runs past 52 episodes you can just stop watching it, because it usually runs downhill and I lose interest in it. However, Hayate no Gotoku is one of the series I'll hold exempt from this rule. I can't wait for for next season to come out.

Withholding spoilers, you might get the impression that the series is going to become a weekly battle series nearing episode 26, but it's merely a deception and the show speeds through it surprisingly well. The Nabeshin ep. is priceless, and I especially got a chuckle out of Puppeteer, Limited to Once.

So my advice is don't stop watching, you'll be missing too much fun.

How can I miss that! I so second your thoughts on what I bolded. The voice acting was excellent! Nagi's voice was perfect. I need to add her to my character's list. <3 And yea, I've seen Lucky Star after Hayate no Gotoku .. HnG pretty much pwns Lucky Star with Comedy and Characters.

I'm in the middle of watching this Anime now. I'm on Ep 28.

This Anime is pretty decent. It's a bit of a break from all the serious Anime I've been watching (which I still prefer). I've you have watched alot of anime, this makes it an almost must watch to try and find all the puns and spoofs done on other animes. I really like the dragonball, evangelion, melancholy, and clanned spoofs. I've even seen a bit of deathnote which was hilarious. (The teacher hugs the scientist and her eyes turn red and she says  "She fell for my plan!" and she also says "I will be the god of a new world!")

So the more anime you've seen, you will find yourself looking for different references. I notice there are alot of references to mecha anime, but I really don't watch those. All in all, it's a its a great watch, and a must watch if you have seen any of the other anime I've mentioned. Try and look for the little references to other anime. My favorite was when Hayate was sitting on the top of the bathing pool, humming the second last angel tune from Evangelion.

The best part about Hayate, is that your enjoyment of the series, and understanding of the ridiculous number of references, is directly related to just how big of a geek you are.  If you are able to pick out every one of the things that are bleeped/edited out, it may be time to take a break.

The last few episodes were awesome.  I just hope season 2 is half as long with more focus on having a plot, and creating its own humor rather than relying on parody.  After a while, a constant barrage of otaku references does get very old.
