2nd highest right now. I'm pretty happy with my score considering how much my comp. cost me to build. :P

I'm hoping you only had to pay for the video card and RAM... Pentium D is just... UGH... you shouldn't offend such a godly video card pairing it with that portable heater.

EDIT: I sounded like an asshole, but still..  :-[

This still plays TF2 on most high settings and I can play my 720p animu without problems... but I'll be getting a new computer next month, 3 years after building this.

As long as I can play all my anime and PC games, I'm happy. I can watch 1080p movies like Steamboy without any lag whatsoever, and play almost all PC games like Bioshock on all the highest settings without lag, except for maybe Crysis (haven't tried it out yet). ;D Plus, this is the first computer I've built by myself, so I'm proud of of it. I plan on upgrading some parts after the summer, though, and getting a much bigger HDD (2TB might be good). :P

With that chipset (G33), you could get a C2D or a Pentium Dual Core (the new ones, not Pentium D) and overclock, you'll have to spend ~$60 and you'll get at least 40% performance increase (E2180@3GHz) while using 60% the power...

Also, 2TB is two 1TB HDDs... Seagate said 2TB are coming up next year, though... Last I checked, 750GB drives (or that Western Digital 640GB) are cheaper per GB than the rest, so you should just compare to see what's the best deal...

Considering I hate WD since I've had bad memories with them, I think I'll get the 2TB Seagate HDD when it comes out. :P

What do you mean? The 2TB drives being released next year?

I'm using the 790i stuff because if I later decide I have enough money I'll probably go with 2x 9800 GT's. I also like that DDR3 uses less power, and that's one of the reasons I'm using the 45nm CPU. The only thing I'm thinking about is changing to a dual core instead of quad, because there really isn't much of a point for a quad for me. Until more games support four cores at least.

wouldnt massive multi tasking be in order with quad core (assigning shit to the 2 cores you arent using or rather setting up your games on the 2 cores you arent really using and letting OS and everything else run on the other 2

Yeah but considering I'm usually running at most something like 5 or 6 things at once, and my single core can do it fine, I imagine two cores is plenty, and quad would just be overdoing it. Unless all of a sudden games are coming out soon that support them...

Why are you even running Vista?

It must be slow as molasses...  :-X
Its Slow yeah. Vista was free, one of the perks of being a student. They wouldnt give me XP Pro, which is what i asked for so I got Vista Intead.

His CPU is good for it but he needs more RAM.
The board can only hold 2GB which is still not that great for Vista. So Im just going to make this my Ubuntu box and build a new Machine when that Stimulus Check comes.

Yeah but considering I'm usually running at most something like 5 or 6 things at once, and my single core can do it fine, I imagine two cores is plenty, and quad would just be overdoing it. Unless all of a sudden games are coming out soon that support them...

alot of newer games coming out are made if nothing else for use of dual core and alot of them have very high cpu and gfx requirements(like age of conan) to play comfortably with a decent amount of FPS

i personally will enjoy my quad core once i order it as it will allow me to do exactly what i had posted as i like to run my bit torrrent ventrilo music xfire encode videos ect ect all while playing games, and who cant live without having wow and call of duty open at the same time(ME) lol
